E_T: That is in an incredibly good message. In fact, due to your objections to the TNA, you actually are the best Babylonian to present our case to DR. The major, most important, theme you hit upon is the danger BoH poses. Staying away from the forum debates, accusations, verbal disputes, etc. was a good move. From what I understand, Aqualung is pretty solid civ player. This warning about the growing BoH military strength should resonate with him.
Well, the ball is their court. Clearly, that is the best possible effort our team can do in our outreach to DR.
I know it must have been hard to motivate yourself given the recent events. Great job and thank you.

Well, they are giving us the silent treatment, like we did to them...
Sent this with save:
quote:
To DR: Sent original peace Proposal (peace, Monarchy & 75 gold). Please accept it. If not, please atleast communicate what would be acceptible, instead of sending silence. Granted, I wasn't the one who had made the decision to send you silence, before the war, but I was just new and overruled. Now, things are different and Babylon wants to make a NEW START. So, if anything, tell us to F-OFF, so that we atleast know where we are at and will then be able to forget about any future communications. But, If you truely want to reopen a dialog, then please do respond.
|
I think, if we DO even get a responce, is a F-OFF....
But then, we will know where they are, in relationship to BoH.

Sent to DR
quote:
Team Babylon wishes to thank Desolation Row for helping to bring about a final and lasting peace between the two of us. As we have stated before, we are very sorry that we had this last war, come between us.
As we currently have problems at home, we can't make any future deals, for further technologies, but please don't count us totally out of the game. We have been working on deals, with AM, to allow us to remain alive, as partners with them. Granted, we are not totally happy with this (very close democratic poll, that was), but we can deal with is, as it's better than oblivion....
Anyways, AM isn't the problem, but BoH will ultimately will be the major one to watch out for. We have received (IMHO, smoke screen) threats from them, with demands. We know that their threats are that, threats, as the units that they claim to be headed our way (20 something Units) haven't even appeared on our horizen (and we still have some scouting capability, in that direction). Perhaps, this is disinformation, directed at our contacts, with other teams (like you) and they are only working on getting the right positioning and timing, before they strike at their next victim.
Again, We ask you to make peace with Euphorica, they won't be a threat to you, no matter what and work on making sure that BoH's ambitions are properly checked.
Thank you for your time,

I purposely put in the part about becoming vassels of AM, so that, if there is an Intel Conduit, back to AM, we seem to be working with them.
Also, if they have a conduit to BoH, then the AM thing works one way and the BoH things work another.
It's disinformation, with a total ring of truth. If we hear from them, then we can think about telling them more.

I changed it around some and added some things
quote:
To the Leaders and People of Desolation Row,
I've resently sent messages, detailing Bablon's past actions and current position. We feal that BoH is the greatest threat of our time and must be delt with. They have been making threats (as decribed in my last message) with supposidly 20+ units, that are poised to attack us. The thing is, we see them not and we have enough scouting capability left, plus other intel sources, that shows that this isn't the case (atleast not very, very close). But then, if teir units are supposedly poised to attack us, whom else might they be close enough to attack, instead. Are your left flanks secure, especially with your fight against Euphorica?
It's funny, the figures of the peace demands from BoH:
900 gold - that would be enough to upgrade 10 Horse to Kishik
20GPT for 20 turns - enought to help fiance researching Chivalry or for upgrading 3 more Horse, over time
2 settlers
next 2 techs
and a vcouple of other things
outragous terms, but enough to publically say that they offered us terms and that we denigned them. But it still shows some of their plans, which is to dominate the game, once they get their UU.
Now, Lord Nosferatu (1889) of the Lost boys has just put out a call for unity against BOH. As we have recently , come byond the differences of our past. but we beleave that the current world situation requires that we move past that. As AM is also one to watch.
Please look at the F8 power graphs. AM and BOH equal the other civs combined. They are amassing considerable strength. In the meantime, AM is beating on us. BOH is about to beat on Lost Boys (possible target for BoH's 20+ units, but don't forget, next to your left, rear border). And you are are beating on Euphorica. If this plays out to a conclusion, that would leave DR and a weakened Lost Boys to face AM and BOH. I would not like those odds, do you?
AM plans for a Palace move, into our current area, with their FP south of their current capitol. This would make them more able to absorb an inital BoH attack and allow counter attacking. Of that will leave them a major economic and production powerhouse. And we are currently working on terms of vassilation, with AM (a few more points, and it will be a done deal. But that still doesn't mean that we don't like it and until it's a done deal, we can talk about it. And we won't forget, that they have already broken several deals/treateies with us, when they attacked us (with the ink still wet, mind you).
On the other hand, if we form an alliance now - DR, Euphorica, LB, and Babylon, we may stand a chance. Furthermore - coming out of any such war - DR will clearly be the strongest civ. Of course we have a self-interest here - and that is survival. Lord Nosferatu has also called on AM to joining the crusade against BOH. I doubt they will, which makes the need for an early and strong alliance even that more urgent. Desolation Row now holds the trump card. I am just afarid if it is not played soon, it may not matter.

Paddy says:
just where will those 3 main battle groups go next
Beta says:
It is still a young world.
Paddy says:
hahaha
not for some shall we say
and as to burning bridges, well if the people on the bridges do not get off soon, they may get burnt up to

Yes, where indead? And will you be sitting on the fence too long to for them to be unstoppable?
Again, not for our sake, not for Euphica's sake, but for your own, make peace with Euphica and lets stop the supposidly unstoppable, before it's too late. It's almost too late for us, but not for you.

Sent with Save
quote:
Save to you.
Also, It has been noted, you comment in the public forum
quote:
And yet again the Horde escape anyone's attention by being somewhere else when the battle begins
|
BoH has told us of 20+ Fast Mover Units that are supposedly in our area. But, Intel that we had gotten from AM, before they attacked us again (and got a very bloody nose, at that) was that there was no BoH Units within 5+ turn fast mover distance from any AM spotters. So, those units very much might be waiting for you to finish you GA and have too many units committed to Battles with Euph.
Again, I stress the danger of continuing the war against Euphorica. They would be better used to help take down BoH. But you continue to remover not only your strength, but theirs too. No matter what, they are of no matter and you really should make Peace with them as soon as possible, because the clock is ticking.
Either, you or AM is the next target of BoH. Maybe both. BoH will wait until They get their UU to look towards LB.
But for you, it's not too late. Don't finish the Chivalry Research. Find some way to delay it. Because, you can be certain that BoH will be stealing it from you, if not outright trading it from you, before they stab you in the back.
Well, I'm getting tired of issuing the same warning and at least not getting an acknowledgment back. Please at least let me know that you considering what I've said to you, in the last several messages. Or, if anything, tell me to F-off. As long as I know that your thinking about the messages.... Plus, I know that You all don't trust Beta too much, but please, allow him to communicate with you, as well as myself.
On a Personal note, I'm hoping to get a different job soon, that will have different hours from what I currently have. It will likely be in the next 2 to 3 weeks. And I want to make sure that we have several open lines of communications and don't want you to ignore any communications, if not coming from myself.
Thanks, E_T

I don't trust the Horde, I don't want to see them win. But it was
Euphorica that invaded us, not the Horde. I can hardly stop the war against
Euphorica when it was them that started it. In light of last turn's
Euphorican counter-attack, I would imagine that we could at least ensure a
cease-fire as off now, if we can hear from Euphorica. However some things
prevent this:
1) the last turn looks very very suspicious to us. Euphorica left a town
open to the Horde, they have even left their capital open to the Horde. It
looks like they colluded with each other at our expense. The Horde who have
now gained two Euphorican cities at almost NO cost, meanwhile we've been
fighting the Euphoricans hard.
2) I made approaches to Euphorica before our stack marched North, and I
later heard back details of this from the Horde - so it would appear
Euphorica cannot keep things said in confidence. I don't blame them so
much, I'd use any intel I had to try and save my team as well. But still.
3) It is the LB and Babylon that make calls for us to join in on war with
the Horde - we hear nothing from Euphorica.
I intend to hold the save until our full 24 hours is up, at which point I am
proposing that I will send it to 1889, who will hold it for his full 24
hours, whilst discussion regarding exactly what we are going to do with
late-playing teams is decided. Babylon, Euphorican and the LBs contribution
to this would be most welcome.
