George Bush is resolute, gotta give that to him. Consider Kennedy and the Bay of Pigs. He dropped off those cuban patriots and left them to die. Well, think what you may about Bush, that boy doesn't blink. Or think for a moment on the East Germans and the illegal construction of the Berlin Wall. Berlin was the last road to freedom for eastern europe suffering under the dictatorship of communism. Had Kennedy stood his ground the East Germans were under orders from their Soviet masters to back off. All it took was for the west to not have another Chamberlain in charge. All we needed was a man like GWB to be his unwavering self. He understands that all tyrants understand is power, and more important, he understands that he wields that power. GWB is no Jimmy Carter or Billy Clinton, afraid of their own shadow and the opinion of the French. This is why Libya gave up their WMD program and Syria backed off in Lebanon, because they understand that a strong man is at the helm of the free world.
Remember the embasys in africa getting blown up on Clinton's watch? The bombing of the Cole? The first attempt at blowing up the WTC? No wonder the terrorists thought they could take on the US. Eight years of the worst wimp the US has ever had at the helm. Now they are learning respect, and GWB and the US military is teaching it to them.
He's dragged reluctant allies along by the strength of his resolve, and exposed other corrupt 'allies' for what they truly are, weak, because they are ruled by the mob, and perhaps even greedy, maybe even on the payroll of a mass murdering dictator...? I refer to the UN oil for votes program of course, and France (you're welcome Spif  ), and Germany.
No, GWB is the man for the hour. He's earned the respect of our adversaries...and he's not done. You may hate his guts, but at least he has some. Nice change of pace imo.
