2070BC:
Lost Boys sent Code of Laws as promised. I sent back Mathematics accepted.
Ankh-Morpork didn't send across Map Making as they had promised, so I will remind them.
The Euphorican Warrior north of Marcopolis has not moved, so we will just continue to watch him for now. AM have a Warrior on our borders with our permission on the condition they do not cross the line. No big deal, as they have plenty to worry about at the moment. They have said they will advise of any Euphorican troop movements within view.
Most Horsemen have been fortified as they stand, as the quickest means of returning to full strength. One redlined Vet Horse was returned to Sweet Desolation for the instant health offered by the Barracks there.
The Warrior on the hill north of Antioch has pushed further north onto the next hill, with the objective of continuing further north-northeast into the mountain range to act as a permanent sentry.
The Workers finished connecting the Iron (an anomaly in the game mechanics of PBEM as discussed some time ago by Sabrewolf).
We therefore will have 2 Immortals trained in 2 more turns.
We remain weak compared to the Euphoricans, and are also weak compared to BOH and AM.
Research restarted at 100% - 5 turns to Currency.

Some interesting developments:
Euphorica has offered us peace. I sent it back to them without comment, implying that we may be interested but effectively asking them to offer a sweetener to go with it. I'm not of a mind to accept peace on any terms. But if they offer us a tech..... What do you all think?
First Immortal built. We are now average in military strength compared to them.
Euphorica has built a Colony on the Horses, just south of Nirvana. They must be desperate to build Horsemen, since the resource can be claimed with a Temple build, and they've now sacrificed a Worker . I have moved a Horseman to within 2 tiles of it with the intention of overrunning it next turn if it proves to be undefended
By the way, our Horsemen have been renamed Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn and James Coburn
Despite their diplomatic approach, the BOH are being pains by playing the old 3-in-a-row-delay-the-AI trick, preventing our exploring Warrior from passing through to the West. I will contact them and express our displeasure
Second Barracks will be completed in 2 turns, in Inner Sanctum (still not sure I like that name). 10 shields to go and we can only produce 9 shields in the town, but with any luck the engine will give us another shield when we grow next, so it may be completed in 1.
Next available Worker will start building a road directly north from Inner Sanctum towards Euphorican territory.
We probably should think about pumping out another Settler soon. We don't want to start falling behind economically just because we are building our military. I've switched the Immortal build in Aquarius over to a Settler - comments?
On the other hand, the tech pace remains furious and our Immortals will become obsolete faster than we would like. We are behind at least BOH in techs. All other civs have everything we have and possibly more (except Lost Boys, who lack MM - which I've just offered them). We have Currency in 3.
I intend offering BOH a deal that we will go for Republic if they give us CoL and Literature. They are currently researching Construction.
We remain #1 in Mfg. Goods and Productivity, and #2 in GNP.

Our Horseman overran the Euphorican Horse Colony, rendering their Worker sacrifice an absolute waste of shields
Of course, our Horsie is now exposed and may lose his life next turn (Robert Vaughn....pray for him!). However, I believe the risk was well worth the result
There was no response to our "resend" of their peace offering, so clearly they were not serious, or perhaps they gathered that we are not either.
One slight area of concern - their military is once again strong compared to us, meaning they have built one or more new units this turn. Remember also, that they had Horses connected for a turn, so they may have switched some builds to Horsemen, meaning they may have a couple soon regardless of us destroying their colony.
I've also moved a Horseman into Invictus, in order to take care of that Euphorican on the mountain outside the town.
The trick with Inner Sanctum worked - the new labourer from the pop growth went to the mined BGL and our Barracks reduced from 3 turns to absolute completion
We now have 2 Barracks towns, and will have 3 more Immortals completed in 3 turns.
We're still building a Settler in Aquarius, and Immortals/Spearmen in all other towns.
As Trip mentioned, it's much more preferable to build units in Barracks towns, however given the pace of research, I believe we need to build as many regular units as we can and get them to the battlefront to cause as much damage as possible!
