I'm a bit confused, again, by the casualties ... why did Jonny lose a fighterfrigate? Are you giving equal casualty numbers to allies (which isn't the case either, as I took significantly more than he), are you killing off ALL frigates before ALL battleships, which seems to be the case, or am I just on crack? |
Well...
1.) ALL Frigates removed before ALL cruisers etc
2.) In order of OoB
3.) Spread equally between allies.
So with a LTF OoB, a Laserfrigate is kylled before a Torpedofrigate, but a Lasercruiser is kylled after a Torpedofrigate.
This was the system as described in GO1, other GMs may have used different systems since then, and the GM of any game has final say in such matters. The advantages of the "official" system are that you can "control" your casualties, large ships gain a small advantage, and as the game progresses the smaller ship classes are naturally removed, keeping the GMing simpler.

Oh, and I think I see why Jamski removes casualties as he does. It's just (yet another) difference from GO 7-8, which is confusing for me.
More clear rules ... (as in clear enough for a moron like me, not just for Jaguar ) |
Well, Smiley used his own casualty system. If he's GMing he has every right to. I'm not going to limit the GM's power.
As for clear casualty removal rules... why would a player need to know such things?
