Well, I saw it last night and I have to say its pretty good. Its actually a lot better than Revenge of Sith imo. No wonder. Christopher Nolan, the director, also directed Memento. The cast is also excellent. The story is pretty good, the dialogues decent. I also like the fact that the movie is CGA-lite. Its not CGA everywhere, all the time, like in Star Wars. In movies like Star Wars, I often feel that I'm watching an animated film like Shrek or Roger Rabbit. And the new batmobile isn't pretty, but its badass.

No spoilers, please! If you must, use the spoiler box.

I'm not really looking forward to it, the more of the trailers I see. They've made a lot of changes I'm not sure I like.

[F]irst let’s talk about Batman Begins. Yes, it was crappy in some places. Some of the fight scenes were so difficult to follow that you had to imagine one from a good movie. So, if you start to get confused by all of the bad cuts and dark shots, just imagine you are watching a fight scene from say “Fight Club” for the one on one fights or maybe the bamboo forest scene from “House of Flying Daggers” for the ninja fights. Don’t let the bad editing distract you from just how much the movie rocks. The casting alone (John Papsidera and Lucinda Syson are gods) for each of the characters was as close to perfect as can be. The guy that played Scarecrow was incredible. Makes me want to go see Cold Mountain or 28 Days Later to see if he just benefited from a good script or if he was just that good. Our favorite American psycho was perhaps the best Batman since Keaton and there was even two “Kirsten Dunst wet shirt scenes) featuring Scientology’s newest babe, Katie Holmes. My only problem with the story, other than some of the fight scenes, was the bad guy’s nefarious plot. I don’t want to spoil things but I will say that it’s a bit hard to swallow actually. I mean I get the one super villian’s ability being used in the grand scheme, but something about the delivery of it all was lacking. But all things considered, it was way better than Episode Three and probably only Serenity and Wedding Crashers will top it this year. Go see it. You will not be disappointed at all.
Review from another site I go to.

Pretty spot on imo. I don't understand why directors film fight scenes so up close nowadays. They should pull back the camera a bit and let us see the action.

I plan to see it -- I think Batman Begins will be better than the not-so-good Batman Forever movie -- the one with Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze.

I liked the first three Batman movies, but I was not that crazy about Batman Forever.

Nope, "Batman Forever" was the third one with Two-Face and the Riddler. The fourth one was "Batman and Robin."

And both sucked majorly.

Batman Returns was decent, though. Darker, a little twisted and I, for one, thought DeVito's Penguin was very compelling. Certainly more so than the traditional portrayal of that villain.

And Jack Nicholson's Joker didn't? He even got top billing!

Batman has always featured the villains as the most colorful, compelling aspect. That's the nature of having a hero who is dark, brooding and secretive--he's always going to be outshone by colorful villains.

oh

Ok -- so I did not really like Batman and Robin. IMO, it was not as good as the first three. But I absolutely enjoyed Batman Forever, with the Riddler and Two-Face.

Ugh. Batman Forever was putrid Joel Schumacher crap. How on earth could you have liked it? They positively butchered Two-Face, easily one of Batman's most compelling villains. It was all neon splash and loudness without any substance whatsoever.

Between this and Titanic, your taste in movies is seriously in question.

Jim Carrey as the Riddler was an inspired choice. He was really good in the role, unfortunetly the script wasn't that great.

just got back from the movie. I decided to see it since they had early showings. The 2:45 wasn't crowded at all. What can I say. I can't watch a movie with some stranger sitting next to me.

This movie was easily the best batman movie ever made. 1000 times better than the first batman. And millions times better than the other crappy batman movies. I loved it.

Best movie I've seen all year. Of course I've only seen 2 movies in the theaters this year. edit: actually I saw 3 movies. I forgot about million dollar baby. That was a pretty good movie, but I think I like batman begins a little more.

**** the villains. Batman should be about batman, no?

This is why this movie is so great. It's all about batman. And Bruce Wayne. Yes I've said it. Bruce Wayne is batman. How do you like those spoilers. **** the villains. It was great we didn't meet the main villain until late .

you guys better be not posting because you are seeing the movie right now . I don't want to talk to myself.

I feel like a dork. I was the only one in the theater laughing at one of the previews. They had a preview for the new dukes of hazzard movie. They ended the preview with Daisy Duke saying "I think I have something up my undercarriage" I think that's how the line went. I couldn't contain my laughter. No one else was laughing at that, but I found it hilarious. The movie itself doesn't look that great. But it might be. It looks like it might be like the Brady Bunch movie and poke fun of itself.

I'm still laughing at that line. . some things I find hilarious. I'll be laughing about this for years.

No gay man would put on the kind of display Mr. Cruise did on the Oprah Winfrey show. Tack-y.

Sorry, he's definitely yours. But we still have to keep Bruce Vallanch, so don't feel so bad.
