I don't think you can blame Lancer for being tired with those games all the time, even if he isn't putting it very gracefully.

Consider this: Boy meets girl. Boy is interested in girl. Boy finds out girl has another boy so boy backs off. Boy finds girl blowing hot and cold every time they meet. Girl approaches boy. Boy is wary. Boy notices girl and other boy broke up. Girl proposes boy to booze at boy's place. Girl flashes signals. Boy notices girl constantly interacting with other boy. Girl blows hot and cold again. Boy wants to back off again. Boy goes to party and finds girl acting hot again. Boy calls girl. Boy meets girl day after together with other boy. Girl acts aloof to boy and not to other boy. Boy meets girl and other boy again later that day. Girl displays signals with boy and acts aloof to other boy. Boy is pissed and just wants girl to sod the **** off.

Boann, if that is a true story then I am stunned. Most guys wouldn't do that and I'm thinking there is something about the process you use to pick men that is a miss. I have freedom of speech and will use it as I see fit. Helping a guy who can't figure out why a girl goes to bed with him but isn't interested is one of those cases where I see fit.

I think you guys are being really cruel to Lancer and are projecting alot of crap onto him that has absolutley nothing to do with his situation. Maybe you saw some crap on Oprah or Dateline Wednesday with their "expose" of the week.

He and his wife are happier than most people I know and they are good, decent people. So who is to stand here in judgement of them.

Bottom line is that they are happy people, who gives a damn how they met.

I agree with you, even though I can understand the need not to appear too willing. That friend I mentioned in my previous post has had A LOT of boyfriends who treated her like crap, essentially because she didn't play it by the rules. Luckily she now appears to have found someone who won't abuse her honesty.

Whenever I see a girl who at first sight looks like a slut or who's labelled as a slut, I'm inclined to believe she's just not playing the game as she's expected to. With at least some of them, when I got to see their other side, they actually appeared extremely insecure and shy.

It goes both ways...

Lance does mention it alot, that's true.

But I think he just sees the younger guys that are frustrated and wants to help them out, share something that he has found that has worked for him.

I think what made me really mad was boann's post with the whole, "slave girl" thing. Especially since she doesn't even know Lance and is basing alot of it on generalizations. I mean it totally sounds like a Dateline story.

I can just see Jane Pauley now. "But how do these girls REALLY feel? I went with my crew to find out just that."

For the record - getting hit in the head really hard hurts substantially less then getting hit in the nuts. You are knocked out cold. Now the waking up, swelling, ice packs, etc. for several days - that hurts ALOT more.

Boann - sorry to hear about you bad luck. I do agree with Oerdin. I found myslef at 29 out of a five year bad relationship, with friends who preferred hammer and tong arguments, and had to reexamine why I had picked so many unpleasant people in my life. I realized that (and this has been written about) that I had a high tolerance for those people, due to my father. I said "Screw this, I want to be happy." I'm still working on it, but my life is much better now, even with other problems outside my control that suck.

I dont think boann said that lances wife in particular was a slave girl. she may have made a generalization. Just as the older mexicans did, the ladies served then men. in the united states women dont do this so to attack boann for a simple comment might be a bit off.
