And you guys realize this is BS statistics? IF 0.01 get AIDS, then if 70% of those who are cut less likely get it, what does that mean? That folks who are uncut have 70% more of a risk to get AIDS than cut people when having sex?

On statistical bases it means that the infection rate is (potentially if true) cut by 70% of its previous rate. So what if the previous rate was .01 and the new rate is .003 you say. For the individual probably not much, but for society it cuts new infections by a heck of a lot and puts less people at risk - it thus has a dampening feedback effect.

It's totally irrelevant however. That's why I say it's BS. It's still not a protection. Get that feeling of faulty safety.. If I can get 100% protection against AIDS if I take out of my nutsacks.. and my penis would function normally, and it would be OK in todays society and no one would think you are weird with one testicle.. it would be safe operation, but of course painful as hell. Would you do it to your kid?

so if the probability of getting HIV when having unprotected sex with HIV person is, and I'm throwing numbers out of my butt now, is say 5% or less, say this is the figure for cut penises, and the uncut it rises to.. no, not 75% but 5.4325%. REally significant yeah.. let's all do it! Screw that. I don't want no mutilation thanks. I take my chances.

There are many tribes that don't practice circumcision, and when people move into urban areas they often abandon their tribal practices, so there is a big population of uncircumcised men. In some of thesae areas the HIV infection rate is up to 25% of the reproductive age group, so these folks are watching their neighbors drop like flies. Then some goody-goody two shoes lawyer got all huffy about "parent's rights" and "informed consent", so hospitals began to have to ask first. Finally some limp wristed pediatricians began protesting that the procedure was actually painful. A movement to prevent circumcision sprang up amongst the closet hippies, so today less than half the kids get the little "snip - snip".
