Well i haven't seen many posters from the uk - i guess its difficult getting to somewhere to check the net(many work places have filters on web access). Still at my place of work we've got lots of customers calling home and emailing home, saying they are ok etc.
It sounds pretty bad for the area's hit by the bombs though, and as i said, numbers are bound to rise. I just hope thats the end of it, and we dont have any more..........
I'm pretty pissed and angry at the momment - at a variety of people. Hopefully we'll get some more of the uk(london) posters soon, so we know they are all ok and not caught up in it.

What is with the British posters. Who is in the area? Are they ok? |
Yes, I'm perfectly fine, thanks for your concern.
Of course I can't actually get anywhere, like where I want to go, since the overland and underground stations are closed off, and the queues for busses are horrendous.
Pity, since I was hoping to see my friend in Stoke Newington today... ah well.
"Bombs and unexplained power surges that closed the London Underground raised terrorism fears among world Group of Eight leaders in Scotland.
London Transport Police confirmed "casualties" after a bomb blew off the top of a double decker bus in Russell Square, near the British Museum, and eye witnesses said blood was visible on nearby buildings. What seemed to be at least four bodies lay under tarpaulins.
The trouble began at 9 a.m. when unexplained power surges hit the Underground stations of Liverpool Street, Aldgate, Old Street and Russell Square, and the entire system, the world's oldest and one of its busiest, was closed. Then came reports of the Russell Square bomb and of two more explosions in East London."

So here I sit near where the Olympic village and stadium are to be built, awaiting further news.
Back to the books.

According to the news feed of my bank (13.30, GMT + 1), it appears to have been a suicide bomber on the bus.

Reuters is speculating that its related to the G8 meeting, though you'd think that anti-globalists would have been more likely to attack the vicinity of the meeting.
Al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility fo terracts, though never this quickly. I don'ty think that their hierarchy stays close to modern communications facilities any more.
