How advanced are microwaves where you live? I've never seen a microwave with they keys A-Z and I've only seen very few microwaves with number keys

Without a remote I can't use the tv at all unless the tv is on. The buttons on the tv only allow me to shut off the tv, change the channel and change the volume. Turning on the tv is not possible

Almost all microwaves now have a keypad with 0-9. So, imagine yourself entering your PIN or something.

No microwave I've ever had occasion to use had a such keypad.

As for TVs, I used to say that I'd refuse to buy any TV that did not a) have full controls on the box itself, and b) a button on the box to disable the remote, but since I don't watch TV anymore I suppose that's moot.
