At least now our spears should defend first against the sword attacks, if they come. If memory serves, their stack heading back toward Nirvana consisted of two horses and three swords. I'm not sure how much else they can bring to bear on the stack now that they've apparently abandoned U2 (or did I read Rubychaser's post wrong? The northern rubble pile was there in 1175, but I may have my turn order screwed up), but even if all three swords were victorious (as I doubt they'd attack with either horse, or that they'd meet with any success if they did), that would leave us 8 immortals and the cats, which should be able to handle the wiping out of the stack. Aqua, did you happen to move Simon onto the mountain 8 of where he began 1175 in order to get a look at their stack?
Another take on the upcoming stack move, based on three swords and two horses that we know retreated from Mt. Massacre (check 1275 BC): I'm also going out on a limb regarding the defenses of Nirvana in two ways here. First, I don't think they had any units there as recently as last turn we played, because before they saw our stack they had no reason to believe it was in immediate danger (and it wasn't, for that matter). Second, the way they're abandoning towns, I'd expect them to move the U2 garrison toward AbbA, rather than make a stand at Nirvana. They've reached our stack and attacked in 5 turns. In 1275, their swords were all at 2 hp, and if they never paused to heal, they would have been able to attack in 4 turns, so we can safely assume their swords to be 3 hp each going into the last turn they played. We know the horses attacked, which would most likely leave them 9 of our stack after the attack, with 1/3 movement point left, except Tina, which retreated (presumably into Nirvana, somebody correct me if this is wrong). With Tina out of movement in Nirvana and Gwen with 1/3 left 9 of our stack, what did they do? It looks from the screenshot as if you did incorporate James Cobrun into the stack, so with 1 or 2 units in Nirvana, we could reach and take it with a horseman sacrifice (which I'm not necessarily advocating, btw). With that in mind, the bards face a small dilemma: move the swords and Gwen into Nirvana to guard against that long enough for it to be abandoned or move Gwen 69 of our stack, let the swords heal, and hope that we won't sacrifice James and Yul.
If they did the latter, we may want to look at that sacrifice. We'd eliminate 1 vet and 1 elite horse of theirs, and have 1 vet and 1 elite horse of ours exposed, with a chance of retreating. At worst we break even, which is good for us, since our capacity to replace the units is greater than theirs. To top that off, we take Nirvana. With the swords still 33 of Nirvana and U2 destroyed, and with both their local horsemen out of the fray, we could actually get our spears and immortals there to hold it. More than the material gain, though, think of the PR boost in the main forum of actually being able to take and hold a city before they burned it.
Of course, this is all highly speculative depending on their movements, which we won't see until the save comes around. Do try to hold off a couple hours on this one before playing, please, Aqua. Hopefully, I'll be able to take a look at it and give some input.
Edit: Personally, in their position, I'd have moved everything into Nirvana, either to move out and abandon next turn or heal under cover of significant reinforcements from U2, so this may all come to naught, but if they decided to cut bait, we could reap a decent coup.
