Not at all. While the Cuban american, mexican american, and puerto rican american communities were distinct in many ways, they had in common a Spanish language cultural background, concerns about bilingualism, etc. IF you want an English language party that would be fine. What is the "white" language.

I assure you, Im not. Some of my best friends are white
"r do you think that the NAACP is a racist organization? I just need further clarification here. If they can exist without being called racist, so can these people. "
You are aware that 1. Many of the founding members of the NAACP were whites, and theyve always welcomed whites to their membership. 2. The "colored people" in the title was the term that was then used in the US for black americans - it did NOT mean "for people of color" as that term is now used. 3. The NAACP was formed at a time when black people were being routinely lynched on account of their race.

Umm, you quoted me, deliberatly removing the part about te Jewish founders being kicked out long ago- right about the time Jesse Jackson began referring to NYC as "Himie Town". You have also ignored the other purely racial political groups such as La Raza and MeCHa
Therefore, because you deliberately abused my quotes, I will note that you understand you have lost your case. Any ethnic political group is okay, just so long as it isn't white. We don't want to wake the sleeping giant.
Don't be afraid, admit it. Everyone else in the world who reads this can see you dancing around it.

What about the black panthers and Farakhan's people, who espouse white genocide? Are they okay because they are non-white?
How about La Raza and MeCHa, they just want to take whole sections of the US and kick everyone out, blacks and whites, arabs too.
Just curious.

Well, that settles it. You clearly don't know what a joke is. So here you go:
quote: 3 entries found for joke.
joke ( P ) Pronunciation Key (jk)
n.
Something said or done to evoke laughter or amusement, especially an amusing story with a punch line.
A mischievous trick; a prank.
An amusing or ludicrous incident or situation.
Informal.
Something not to be taken seriously; a triviality: The accident was no joke.
An object of amusement or laughter; a laughingstock: His loud tie was the joke of the office.
v. joked, jok·ing, jokes
v. intr.
To tell or play jokes; jest.
To speak in fun; be facetious.
v. tr.
To make fun of; tease.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Latin iocus. See yek- in Indo-European Roots.]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
joking·ly adv.
Synonyms: joke, jest, witticism, quip, sally, crack, wisecrack, gag
These nouns refer to something that is said or done in order to evoke laughter or amusement. Joke especially denotes an amusing story with a punch line at the end: told jokes at the party. Jest suggests frolicsome humor: amusing jests that defused the tense situation. A witticism is a witty, usually cleverly phrased remark: a speech full of witticisms. A quip is a clever, pointed, often sarcastic remark: responded to the tough questions with quips. Sally denotes a sudden quick witticism: ended the debate with a brilliant sally. Crack and wisecrack refer less formally to flippant or sarcastic retorts: made a crack about my driving ability; punished for making wisecracks in class. Gag is principally applicable to a broadly comic remark or to comic by-play in a theatrical routine: one of the most memorable gags in the history of vaudeville.

Circular argument. First you point out that they are all distinctive (tell a cuban to his face he is the same as a Mexican and see what happens) then you claim they are all the same.
La Raza does not have a "Spanish Language Party", they clearly do not intend to accept Spaniards or Irish men like Vicente Fox in their midst.
Lots of white people in America speak the same language, are concerned about bilingualism and share a common background, i.e., they are white Americans, yet you would deny them the same rights that you would grant to another ethnic minority for the very same reasons.
You are a bigot, pure and simple.
I thought you were smart enough not to use an argument so easily stood on it's head, you disappoint me.

I am willing to put my skills up against anyone in the world. That's right. Because there is no one in the world who can take my job from me. I'm that damn good. (my job is hands on- so it can't be exported overseas) |
No moron, it would not be racist- good to see you're in Jorge Bush's camp on this- it would be "law abiding" and therefor civilized.

You mean like the "Black Congressional Caucus" or the "Jewish Caucus" or the "Arab-American Caucus" within the Democratic party and in congress?
But, what if the whities formed a "White congressional caucus"?
what if there was a cable network titled "White Entertainment Network" would that be okay?

Exactly, you did not include my reference to the fact that the NAACP had Jewish founders and that they had been kicked out a long time back.
Go back and read it-
quote: By your logic then, anyone who sympathizes with the NAACP is a racist, since it is a black only organization. They kicked the Jewish founders out years ago. |
