With the backup, Fitzgerald had a very good rookie year. He was the focus then.

Got spare money?

The Cards aren't going to do much more on offense this year, and Fitzgerald will draw more attention from defenses. This is just one game. Don't read too much into it.

I'm not. I'm looking at last year and seeing Fitzgerald only going to get better. Boldin is on the field with him as well, so he won't be seeing many double teams.

He should have a great year this year, no matter who's the QB.

You drafted Stokley before Fitzgerald. What does that say?

I'm not coming on anything .

Last year, in his rookie year, he had 58 catches and 8 TDs. He has one more year of experience and in his first game this year caught 13 catches for 155 yards and a TD. In college, he was easily considered the best WR in the college football.

The guy has immense talent, had a productive rookie campaign and had a great game where he was the go to guy.

Also Arizona will likely be throwing to catch up, because their defense isn't good.

If that doesn't scream 'sleeper' who is going to have a breakout season, then you don't know jack about fantasy football.

You are just trying to justify making a piss poor deal.

I got a second and a third rounder for a first and a ninth rounder. I think that gives me more depth. You are just making a big deal about one game. There are a lot of talented recievers who don't do "great." They just do half ass.

You don't think Stokley had a good year last year? And you gotta draft based on value. Fitzgerald is a sleeper, Stokley is known. Therefore, you have to draft Stokley earlier.

I thought of taking Fitzgerald where I took Roy Williams (who was a bigger name because he was on a bigger team) and it was a tossup.

And when has Fitzgerald done anything 'half ass'? You are just talking out of your ass, because you are in defensive mode.

You'll regret losing Fitzgerald. Mark my words.

It's the same reason why you trade Fitzgerald, because no one knows what he will do.

And Stokley is a "good" pick, not "great." Fitzgerald is probably neither of those, just a typical ninth rounder, but maybe more.

I'm thinking I should have taken Fitzy where I took Williams. I believe I missed out on a 80+ catch, 12+ TD season.

Hell, no one knows what Kevin Jones (or even better, Stephen Jackson) will do, but you took him in your deal. So why the double standard?

They're both risky. Their teams aren't that good. There just weren't 'sure things' left.

RBs are different. Those two will put up good numbers. That's why they get drafted sooner.

So what, you throw a coin in the air?

Every pick has risk, but you look at the past and you look at their age and go on with that.

If you think THAT is why RBs get drafted sooner, then you know JACK about fantasy football. RBs get drafted sooner because of a scarcity at that position. You have to play 2 RBs and there are only 32 teams (and some have the position unsettled). However, a 3rd WR can be very productive and thus the scarcity is no where near the same.

Also the drop off from the Top 10 RB from the next 10 is HUGE and way larger than any other Top 10 to the Second 10.

I'm done arguing with you for now. Fitz is a ninth rounder who had a good day. You can pretend otherwise, but everyone knows you would have drafted him in the third round if you thought he was a third rounder.

Like I said, you know nothing about fantasy football. It's about finding value and drafting sleepers as late as you can. That way you can get better 'name' players because you draft a 3rd round talent in the 9th round, so you get another 3rd rounder player instead of a 9th rounder player to go with your sleeper.

I'll give you an example. IMO, the BEST pick in the entire draft was Reismark's pick of Deion Branch in the 9th round. I'm sure that Reismark thought Branch was a 3rd/4th round talent (as do I), but he waited and waited and picked him at the last possible moment he thought he could wait... because Branch was injured last year and thus was out of sight to most.

(Damn him )

Yeah, by giving up the the #3 pick in the draft (and #1 RB)!

I WISH I picked Torry Holt now. I would have sent him and McAllister for LT and Fity in a second!

Who am I kidding, anyone who drafted a Ram probably had a good chance to rip you off in a trade. You picked Stephen Jackson over Rudi Johnson or Julius Jones!

Oh, looks like you juuuuust lost this week Imran. Too bad, and Greise is 19 points behind Bulger so far.

Torry Holt is going to kick ass this year, just like Bulger, and we can talk about it later.

No. I'm going to laugh when it's all over, and Griese is in the middle of the pack, and Bulger is at the top. You can talk about who they played all you want, but it's about the points.

Jackson had a decent game. He looked good. The Rams offensive line looked good too. The Niner's defense really isn't that bad. They like to get after the Rams especially at home. They get fired up. It's going to be a very productive season for Jackson and the Rams. For now you can speculate, but later the numbers will show.

I was much more interested in Branch too. I should have drafted him when I didn't. I like players on good teams. I don't like players are bad teams. Sure if you're a reciever you might get points if your team plays catch up, but then that depends if the team can actually catch up instead of just playing catch up. I don't think the Cards play good catch up. The games that I remember them playing last year they didn't have to play catch up.
