Ah. No, it's not a server messup; I viewed it before you fixed it, and you must've resubmitted it under the same name, so my computer thinks it's already downloaded the image.

What does the poet (vetty) mean by religious countries. does he mean the amount of religious sentiment in the citizenry or does he mean the ability or lack of it of the church to influence matters of social and political nature?
these are two different things.

When the two things are different, it means the situation isn't stable in the country. It will reach some sort of equilibrium one way or another.

Well I remember making a poll about mandatory religious education some time ago, and Finns not only had it but (those who replied) seemed to enjoy it immensely. So I figure, they go in the belt.

Finland shouldn't be in that map as bible belt country.

Church has power worth d1ck in here, or religionistas. The gay movement has more power. The drug users anonymous has more power. The weed smoking white rastas have more power. The pedophiles who are sorry and getting better through treatment are having more power.

But you're right in a way, they have one thing going on for them. They leech money. Even from businesses, and that's just unacceptable. The hand reaches everywhere. But political power? Nothing. Absolutely 0. But then again, church in here does not try to have power. They co-exist in peace, not trying to mess with each other.

With an exception of the money thing, church collecting taxes that is. One could argue that's one huge impact, true, but not the kind of impact I believe this thread was about.

The only real belt in here is MY championship belt. WORLD championship belt. That's right. And if anyone of you muthas have a problem with it, I'll spank your butts with it.

The brainwashing which is the mandatory religious classes works, it seems. The observed specimen not only doesn't realise the extent of Church power, he is even defending what he can see...

Vet, why don't you come and see it for yourself. Oh yeah.. now I remember.. you're too.. insert insult. Just think of the most insultive thing to you. That's what I meant to say .

Oh and PS. The religion classes ARE NOT MANDATORY.

And they certainly ARE NOT CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

But I won't bother with you longer with this thing, since you're only set for further trolling as you got little twinkie move in your pants from caps I just posted.

No it is not mandatory Learn FACTS. You can take uhmm.. 'world view' (bad translation) instead of religion.

You are doing passive research. You know what I'm saying? That is, you're not doing any research yourself.

If you won't take my word for it, you know, a local who actually knows the system, then fine. Trust your instincts man! (said blind man standing on the edge of a cliff). You can fly if you REALLY put your mind into it! Go on!

What are those two belts, then?
Make a map.
I find it interesting, as Netherlands were the most irreligious place I've seen. All the churches were empty, closed or changed into something else in the places I've visited.
