Is there real direction?

We do need direction.
This game has been played in response to all the other civs actions on us.
We need to pick a direction and go with it. I had hoped to screw with BOH and AM, but Beta hinted that they might be working against us. Oh well. At least it was good for a laugh.
What do we plan on doing next? I need to get caught up. Is it LB (1889, Lord Nuclear), DR, and Babylon vs BOH, and AM? What's up with the Bards?

Please, could anyone give a *brief* summary of what happened during the past six weeks? When I left, the situation was as that:
> AM sneak-attacked us, gaining a city
> BOH offered peace, pulled back the offer, ranted about us, WAR
> LB posted that they officially joined the war on our side
> Eu was at war with BOH and DR and was getting a bloody nose
> DR suddenly became friends of BOH and only fought Eu, while officially still at war with us
So, what has changed, and how?
- Thanks, Micha

There is a good whole game summary here.
I'd love to give an update but honestly I have no idea. I disappeared d/t illness and then the weekend (for what? 5 days?) and I see that LB has offered peace to the backstabbing Morporkians. BOH won't answer me. I have no idea what is up with DR. I am very confused.
I opened the save and AM offered peace?????????????

Hey I am still here, lurking.
I watch the excellent diplo stuff that keeps us involved and congratulate E_T. Skrob , Beta and others, for keeping us in the game.
I know it could still go belly up but you guys have danced very well.

BFM - we are still trying to get the Tribes PBEM off the ground. Stop by there and let me know if you are in or not?

I'm doing as much as I can to get that to happen. But, yeah, Getting Good and glorious revenge (not sweet, but similar) does require surviving to do so.
Taking on an Army with 2 warriors and 1 Bowman and making it reteat, feels damn good, but IMHO, it's not good enough to qualify as the proper revenge that is required.
Although, it IS a damn good start....
To get the kind of Revenge that will leave you with the feeling that the dish of revenge has been properly served, we will need to survive for a while longer. Maybe even making peace with AM (which was my plan, when I made that offer).will get us to that point of Revenge, that will leave us with that warm glow.
If anything, it's almost a point of style. The Art of snatching "Defeat out of the Jaws of Victory" is not that easy and sometimes needs to look like doing one thing, while doing something else.
I'm reminded of a freind of mine, while in USAF, that told me of a D&D game he was playing, He and his Brother were in this one campain. They found someplace and started to investigate. Then they found a bunch of Zombies. His brother got taken by them and he goes to flee. He doesn't get far, as he trips a pitfall trap and breaks his leg. The Zombies are getting closer, he is going to die and he see's his brother at the head of the group. He decided to snatching Defeat out of the Jaws of Victory (he was the one who I had heard that from) by dousing himself with Oil and waits to light himself off, to take as many of them with him as possible.
The thing is, he could have lighted it as soon as possible, because he was dead, no matter what, but he waited (survived) until the point that would make the best effect. It turned out, that he had takenout more than 1/2 of them and had never had become a zombie, after his death.
So, yeah, there is a difference. Simple revenge just isn't good enough for what they have done. They desearve a much better style of revenge.

We were to get our revenge by becoming AM's Vassal. Our revenge was to come with pushing BOH to war with AM through dis-information.
But it turned out that one of two things happened:
1 - AM was never serious about the treaty that they offered.
2 - AM and BOH were talking as I was feeding BOH disinformation.
My guess is #1. Because if #2 was correct I am sure that BOH would have publicized our planned backstab of AM and us trying to set up BOH.

Well, we currently ARE still at war with BoH. They did steal Fedalism from us and they are the major worry (atleast for this team) for this game.
If you know anything about Nazi Germany and their foreign Minister, Ribbentop, then you know what kind of style that their "diplomacy" has taken and will take. Needless to say, it's not pretty and can leave you with a really bad taste in your mouth, while watching it in action.
Their Roleplay, not only is designed to piss anyone off, but it's also set up to get as much information from people who post while extreemly pi$$ed off. Greated, it's not how I would want to conduct things (and it's now how we do things, thank Gawd), but it's rather distasteful. But then, what do you expect from a butch of knuckle dragging, brutish Warmongers.....
But, we do expect some form of attack from them, sometime. But we feel that their next target, currently, is either DR or AM. AM because of the disinformation that we had sent them. DR because they have a history of backstabing their alliance members (with hugely trumped up charges) and they ARE the biggest threat to them.
As a matter of fact, DR's GA is soon to be finished and I really think that BoH will attack them right around the time of that.
