Of course all of these responses are from non-americans. Everytime I talk to one of my countrymen, they tell me I live in the greatest country in the world. If the UN is correct, how can they be so wrong?

Well figure it out, you have crap employee rights and entitlements and you have a next to non-existent welfare state. Because of this I would suspect the US drops down the list a bit...I certainly wouldn't fancy living there for those reasons...

No more stupid than any other country trying to lay claim to being the "best country in the world". All you can do is measure different criteria and rank countries based on any given category, but it's rediculous to say that there's any singular "best" country.
