It's good that we have met so soon in the game as we can present a united font against any common foes.
The russians have heard of the rumours of the mexican's, and although the grand prince of Moscow extends a cordial peace... the russians however warn that they are a strong confederation of independant cities who will brook no aggression from any enemy.
The Russians ask initially that no settlers from any nation land in russian territory until formal relations have been established. We do not wish to war with any nation until we are sure of their intentions.
Russian Diplomats will be sent to Mexico in the coming years to discuss the future of the two nations, inevitably surrounded by hostile enemies.

3950 BC RUSSIA NAVIGATORS SITE KOREA
A small fleet of Russian Transports arrived off the western coasts of Korea this year landing a handful of men upon the docks of the ancient city.
Respecting local tradition they did little except open early dialgue with the town leader. Requesting from the Korean leadership an exchange of maps to start diplomatic proceedings the Grand Prince of Moscow has ordered a diplomatic mission to be sent immediately to the Asian Nation.
No site of the Mexicans has yet been made, though the Russians annouce the foundation of Rostov this year as the most westerly point of the russia empire to date.
The grand prince of Moscow announced again that as much of this apparent island or peninsula will remain exclusively under russian control.
Intruders will be expelled unless they have arranged prior permission to land.
Russia awaits Korea's response.

3900 BC RUSSIA CONTACTS KOREA AND MEXICO
In recent years the map exchange with Korea was finalised by elders in Chuncheon. In response to this a peace treaty was offered.
Russian Navigator's pointed out the strong Japanese Nation and their likely militant nature, and that a peace treaty could benefit both parties.
Mexico also offered a Peace Treaty and Map exchange which were both accepted.
In receipt of these maps it appears that Russia is at least as large as Korea. The Mexican Heartland appears to be a large island continent although Chihuhua appears to be an ealry ancient colony possibly on the same continent that russia occupies.
The Grand Prince confirmed that expansion will continue to the currently explored area... that is from Moscow to the "Neck of Ivan" (see that bhuddha next to the 1 square corridor in the north west of my island).
All future agreements will initially be base on these claims, although russian settlers are being built to further enoble russian claims to the entire continent.
A diplomat from the city of Minsk is ready to set sail in 2950 BC to establish an embassy in Korea.
Korean Leaders are asked in advance if this is acceptable.

3850 BC DIPLOMATS LEAVE MINSK
They are expected to arrive on the korean coastline in 3750 BC. Naval technolgy has meant the journey is both long and somewhat dangerous in the antiquated russian longships.
Plans are being laid presently for a modern efficient russian navy to support her empire and that of her future allies.
The Grand Prince is personally overseeing this development in the most industrious cities to the north.

3800 BC STEADY EXPANSION IN THE EAST
Russian settlers are heading to the "Neck of Ivan" in the west to ensure a large part of the continent that Russia seems to be on will remain as much of our territory as possible.
Weary of an ancient mexican settlement that could be on this continent, the ruler of the duchy of Kiev advised the Grand Prince that this was settled many years ago. The Grand Prince still remains curious of Mexican intentions in this continent.
Russia will be looking to expanding north from the neck and not west to the lands of New Mexico.
In other news progress of the diplomat to the eastern lands of japan and korea is looking good. He is expected to land in the next few decades (turn 5) to formerly establish relations with the two known asian powers.
A delegation will be sent to Mexico after this has been achieved.
Other nations around the globe have also been invited to establish embassies in Moscow, and permission to land solely for this purpose was granted by the Grand Prince this year.
The progress of the Russian navy is also increasing in order to secure the protection of russia. The latest ships available have been ordered by the Grand Prince.

RUSSIAN DUMA MEETS IN MOSCOW
The grand prince summoned the first state assembly in the kremlin to discuss future closer ties between the free city states and duchy's occupied by the Russian people. Points covered were:
Chihuhua -- The Russian Empire is curious as to whether this city will pose a problem for future russian expansion in the north. Scouts and settlers are heading north to secure the "Neck of Ivan" as we speak but little south of that (North of Rostov) is hardly arable (being a wasted desert), and northern expansion must occur at some stage in the future.
The prince of Astrakhan was quick to mention that a strong peace exists between the two nations of Mexico and Russia, but it was hotly debated in the Duma. Scouts are being sent north of the neck to ascertain the remaining size of the continent and whether the mexican city will become a problem.
The duke of rostov also added that the mexicans have an unfortunately small homeland and that when they landed they had no idea they were originally on the same continent.
Many of the statesmen agreed with him, and a vote was passed supporting the mexican's remaining where they are.
However if they expand eastwards towards the neck the issue is likely to flare up again.
Diplomatic Relations -- As soon as the minsk diplomats establish ties with Korea and Japan, Mexico is planned to be the next venuue.
Naval Supremacy -- Moscow is vowing to build a large and powerful fleet over the coming centuries to at least equal any opposition.
Alliances -- Depending on future wars and problems the Russians would be seeking to ally with any friendly civilisations.
Colonisation -- Aside from the northern territory past the neck of ivan, Russian navigators are keen to explore the rest of the world with a view to taking any new and unclaimed lands for the Grand Prince.
Friendliness -- Although militant, the Grand Prince was keen to stress he is a peace loving man and wants to ensure Korean and Mexican leaders are aware of such a fact.

Rather than move onto Japan, The grand prince has ordered the diplomats now sail immediately for mexico.
It is hoped that the embassy will help the growth of a Russia-Korea Pact which will be proposed over the coming years.
The grand prince has made no secret that he wishes to include mexico in this pact.
