The modernization of France is going as planned, we are pleased to report that our Royal Majesty Louis XIV has made an excelent pick for a first minister, Cardinal Henrik de Lohmander was today apointed as Frances' new first minister.
This change has been underway for several years now but today it was confirmed.
Henrik's main goals will be to extend the glory of France and to start a massive centralization and modernization effort, the changes Henrik quickly started making as soon as he was apointed has allready started to show results, France is now the nation whit the higest income per capita and the highest Bmp has also been achieved by France.
(Acording to demographics this is France has also the highest aproval rating)
Henriks greatest achivement to this point wsa the recently signed peace treaty whit Spain, he effectively put a conflict that had lasted an entire decade to an end.
"Nothing is to come in the way of my new reforms, especially not a petty war with some petty state!" was Henriks comment when some French nobles recently asked about his goals whit this treaty.

Handle it the way the great powers would, Henrik. Just everybody remember, it's just a game, and not to take it personally. If I did, I would hate Exile, who is destroying Hungary and Austria! Because of the game engine, it is hard to have full control over your nation, so if you want secret accords, go ahead and make them by any secret means you desire, but remember, the great powers are watching.

First minister Henri de Lohmander of France reports that all is proceding nicely the nation is still in top when it comes to the economy and trade routes have been opened whit France's whealty neighbor the netherlands.
Although the Spanish king still claims them to be part of the Spanish kingdom France issued a proclamation where the Netherlands is recognised as a what it is an independent State of great importance.
Although we are formally at war whit this state (they had some foggy alliance whit Vennice it appears) the French-Dutch relations is better than ever.
