We trust the French will respect that only peaceful trade along this river is intended, and to remove any fears that they might legitimately entertain, the more “enthusiastically acquisitive” sailors on board the Privateersmen have been withdrawn to the open sea.

The English have moved and file emailed to Chris due to traffic problems on this site.

Not much to report: The French civilian blockade of the St. Lawrence has been lifted, and our Galleons passed through. A request has been received from the French Ambassador that our 15th (North American) Regiment vacate areas claimed by New France south of Hudson's Bay. As our expedition is only a scouting party, it has been instructed to move off to the west, and should be clear of French possessions by the end of 1705.

Massive trade and scientific surpluses are now being generated by the vibrant English economy, which is now first in the world in per Capita income, and only slightly behind France in overall GDP.

The next item on the English agenda is political reform and religious toleration.

A Map showing English discoveries will be published later today.

By the way, the Bonaparte II test we are all playing seems to have hit the buffers. I suggest we stop the game, as I have all the info I need to do the final version now.

Revolt!!!
Leading millitary and naval officers in France has tried to overthrow the rightfull king and ruler of France!
The coup was succesfull, during the past year the nation of France has been under the total controll of a General Albért Inificiént (who you all know from a privious incident, he returned from his exile to pull this coup off) and Admiral Antoine Irregulare who ruled France in a Triumvirate.
Thankfully the king and I was able to escape during the chaos in the capital last year.
And during this year we mounted a succesfull counter-strike against the usurpers.
Both Albért and Antoine has been dealt with, permanently this time...
However, I fear that much was lost during the time of the Triumvirate, and counter orders will take time to be carried out, it will take atleast two more years to totaly restore order to our lands.

Yes, guys. The scenario ends in 1800, but there is nothing stopping us playing on. However, we will soon run out of appropriate technologies, and once the first of us starts on Future Tech we should probably stop.

I am delighted you are all enjoying this so much!

If your question was directed at adjusting the running time of the main scenario, W, then yes, it is possible, but I don't think I will. Mainly because of the tech issue above. You can always make your own variant, however. If you want me to send you the base scenario save game from which I create the scenarios, I will. You can then make your own game up. I'm sure you know how, but if not, please ask.

Sorry I didn't take my turn at the weekend, I was swamped with Bonaparte II stuff. I shall play tonight.
