Hm, the rolleyes are there too .

Aredhran has a point here. Wouldn't be nice to have broken links everywere . Also it would be nice to extend it to the private messages also. If there is a way to retrieve them from the old system it would be nice if possible. I know that this would mean some extra and hard work but as I said it would be nice.

Another problem I noticed is in the members area where some users appear twise with different total posts number.

Sorry, I must be stupid, but I see posts here about non-counting of OT posts and restrictions upon post length. Can you give me a URL to see the definitive new rules .

I use Mozilla because it sticks to W3C standards. IE doesn't, that's why it's bad.

Which Mozilla is based on the previous versions of Navigator...
Like saying that Linux isn't Torvalds'...

But I think you've got my point anyway. The same problems might occur in other web browsers as well.

I used to use Nescape's browser myself but it just didn't make it. Can't stick to it just because it was a great one once. And IE follows the W3C standards. It just uses some additional features too which happens some web designers to uses them in their web pages.

Ehh... Is it possible I lost some posts in the upgrade? I'd swear I had close to 850 posts, now I only have about 800... Normally I don't give a damn about post count, but I wanna have a custom avatar!
Since I don't post too often losing 50 posts is quite a lot, it will take me weeks longer to get to 1000 now

Other than that, great job on the upgrade, I love it

A recount?! Well, in that case I demand a manual recount! And if the result isn't to my liking, another one, and another, and another, until my postcount is back on it's old level

Seriously though, how could a recount change my postcount? Does that mean I had a mysterious addition to my postcount in the past? Or are some of my posts in threads that have been deleted?

Help with CtP avatars? Sure, I'll email God to see if he can make the days last 50 hours instead of 24. If he complies, I should have some time for that Until then, it's all SLIC and AI editing for me (oh, and some schoolwork, if I have the time).

Not sure this is the right thread for this, but I'm not sure I'd want my username and birthday displayed on the forum front page.

Suffering from ads?

I love the look of the new forum but the additional speed overhead is too high a cost to pay. Its more than doubled the time it takes to draw a page on my 56.6 connection. Is there a way for individual users to turn off display of avatars, ratings, you've posted in this thread tags etc at the server so that only the necessary text is transmitted?

MarkG: I don't believe the forum was doing this before, but the thread titles aren't "wrapping," so if a very long title is posted, instead of wrapping to take two lines, it extends the horizontal width of the page to unreadable levels to fit it all on one page. Examine the S&D forum (going back 20 days) , for instance:

S&D Forum

The thread with the title "Dip 23, Colonial Diplomacy Ends in 3 Way Draw Between Holland, Japan, and France" makes the thread showing screen far too long. Isn't there a way to turn this back on?

Hey,

This upgraded version takes forever to "work with" = downloading pages, posting and changing to different threads. Okey I know my computer aint that good and my connection maybe isn't the best (although okey). I never had any problems before with the old version. So tell me, is it supposeto be like this in the future?
If thats so I'm not going to be around more than necersarily (like posting turns and PBEM connected), and I really enjoy being here.
