Just check your profile: click the left-most button of that yellowish row of buttons on the bar right above your post (the one that also contains the date and time of your post).

Click on the little symbol that looks like a person standing next to the outline of a very boxlike motor vehicle. It's the first symbol to the right of the date and time in the very top line of the post.

I'd dearly love to be able to stop getting emails telling me people have replied to my posts. I've followed the advice about checking (or unchecking) the option in the Control Panel. It doesn't help. Has anyone managed to overcome the problem?

You have to remember to use the "Save Modification" button for the changes to take effect. You can't just click a few radio buttons, then hit the Back button of your browser

Hey II,

Seems like I jumped to conclusion little bit to fast. The upgraded version is working alright now. maybe the early problems were just "newborn sickness" . So I take back my complaint, if I'm allowed.

Since the last board change (about 4AM EST) I am no longer seeing any Avitars. I have the 'view avitars' enabled, and was seeing them before the board's look changed again.

Well, I don't know what happened, but after a day of not being able to login at all, I now can and my Avatar can be set as well! Good job gentlemen.

Now, next question - I have a custom avatar I'd like to use, but it's too big. Can anyone find me a gif-editor I can download?

Well, with little editing it can be done.
I resized it a little, changed the color depth form 256 colors to 11 and cut the last frame (13th) as it was the same with the first one . It's 9,75 KB . Just on limit .

#!/bin/sh has made no posts and has the homepage printf "Content-type: text/plain\n\n" it looks like some Perl syntax to me, not exactly an URL , but I might be wrong . The username looks as the beginning of the first row of a Perl program.

Markos the atvatars look very great, but after the upgrade the Apolyton side is very slow in its whole for me. I think it is not a problem of my modem, because I get a piece of data and then I have to wait 5 seconds or more to wait for the next pieces. I needed half an hour to get to this page to write this post. I would be faster if I send this per email to Markos but this is for public. And I didn't read this thread, because it is to slow. Therefore Markos I hope that Apolyton will be faster again in general then I can enjoy the upgrade in general with all it's new features. By the way if you ask with browser I am using here my answer: Netscape4.5, Netscape6 and ME5.
