An American backpacking through Europe writes a letter home telling his parents that the trails through Europe are not all they are cracked up to be, there are too many *bumps* along the way. However, The sites are terrific to see. The Former French Alps, Venice, and the brand new nation of Jugoslavia. Europe at peace is a terrific place to visit, it is too bad that tensions have flared recently over trading rights.

With money from the newly enacted railroad tarrifs the Italian government can today anounce that they have enacted a new defence system which involves the arming of local citesenry in case of war.
This will make our nation far more difficult to occupy for any foreign invadors, Prime Minister Henriko proudly proclaimed earlier this week.
The people in charge of the creation of this new "Guerilla Defence" system have been sent to Jugoslavia, Turkey and Germany as experts, and are there to modernize these nations defences in a similar way.
While many millitary analysts are perplexed as to why Italy is helping Germany modernize thier defences it is rumoured that this has to do with a debt placed on Italy in connection with the fall of France.

Well, now I'm in school full blast, so I may be a bit slow in getting things done. The web site is taking far back burner right now, but if I can use one of my graphic design projects for it, I'll try to squeeze it past my teacher.

And yes, I love school. The professors are EXCELLENT and I'm completely JAZZED up for classes like Philosophy and Graphic Design, though not so much for Calc, though I'm not fearing it completely anymore.

In this month a shipment of gold from Trieste reached its destination in Danzig. A small profit of only ~185 gold was recieved for these goods. A distressing matter indeed, as gold is a rather valuable comodity itself, and also that Danzig and Trieste are both healthy cities. Premier Kleshnikov was confused when he read of the international gold rates, and wondered if there might not be some corruption in the Jugoslavian shipping industry. He vowed to crack down on wrongdoing in this sector, and promised the miner's they will recieve whats due in the future.

JMarks, regarding the screenies you wanted, I use a separate set of files for my game, so mine will look all wacky, is that cool? I have one here that demonstrates.

CEU scientists have succesfully prototyped a new vehicle only kown as Mr Thingy, and it has the potential to revolutionize warfare as we know it.

Also known in the skunkworks as 'Bob' and 'Carrot Man', the public discarded these names for the more popular sounding 'airship'. Two airships are currently being produced in the CEU's most productive cities, and should provide the army a new mobility it hasn't seen since three years ago when France was conquered within 6 months.

The most productive city in the world is now Prague, home of the Skoda Industrial works. It now produces 72 shields surplus above its 5 shield support costs.

A mechanic was quoted to have said, 'kiss my monkey wrentch Naples!' He also said many other things which we are unable to print due to our family friendly policies of this paper.

The Turkish Engineer Corps strike again!
3 more engineer brigades were put to work this month with an expected 3 or 4 more next month.
Turkey is within 4 months of being completely connected by railway!
The City of Syrmna, already size 10 will have 4 new mines opening next month. It is sure to be a huge production area!
Turkish Engineers are headed for Jugoslavia and Italy to help our brothers in the laying of railway, mines and other jobs.
Some 4 - 6 engineers will be sent to Jugoslavia and Italy.

Furthermore Italy would like to register a formal complaint against the CEU connecting to the italian railnet with roads.
While you have the right to work those vinyards they remain within the agreed de-roaded zone Jmarks, they are just as far from my city as they are from yours.
The italian foreign ministry demands that the road is pillaged imidietly.
(yes I was bored and DL'ed grothgars save to have a look before it was my turn).

In accord with the agreement signed with the Med RR, Spanish troops were ordered to destroy the RR linking Barcelona and Italian France. However, the foolish deputies of Parliament interpreted such a move as an act of war against Italy and ordered the troops back to barracks.

Henrik, can you try to destroy the RR, or better still, destroy your RR on the hill outside Perpignan?

Getting rid of RR directly adjestent to Perpignan (and on a mined hill too) makes about as much sence as if I ordered you to destroy the RRs directly north and northeast of Barcelona.
The RR that is to be destroyed has to be the one that is two tiles away for both cities, that way it isn't in either of our territories.
As of now I cannot possibly pillage it though, as you've placed a guardpost in the mountain next to it blocking me from the tile.

In answer to Italian complaints of connecting roads to the vinyards, the department head of interior and exterior connections, Georgio Dude said this:

If the Italians are concerned about a connection to the railnetwork, then they should notice that roads connect on the east side of the two cities also. If Italian ministries are afraid of sneaking goods past, then they have no faith whatsoever. However, if it is the closeness of the two rail systems, the we are perfectly happy to destroy the rails moving a couple of miles south of Dijon as it is no longer in operation.

Furthermore, the no man's land claim was agreed upon the rails. If roads were included, then road south of Banoncon should have been destroyed years earlier.

This road was made so that the vinyarders could finally be able to send their produce to bigger and better markets without them spoiling. Before they could only sell their food in Dijon and Lyons, and those people know how good those fruits are. This road will be able to get this superior fruit all over Western Europe before they spoil. Please think of the economy of these Frenchmen! They are people too.
