It would appear that whilst accepting my neighbourly gesture of an express Air Ambulance home you chose to discharge two of your young Law Students far too early from their Hospital Beds. Sadly, as warned, they proved too enfeebled to survive. One, obviously inadvertantly, wandered into an Airforce Testing Range and died from shock when a rocket exploded nearby whilst the other lost his bearings completely and perished under an SNCF Fast Freight Train carrying supplies for the Verteuil Garrison. It seems that one of your Diplomats, obviously the boy's mentor, was just too elderly and frail to survive the harshness of the climate upon our border and died from exposure.

Equally tragic was your failure to heed my warning as to the perilous nature of the shallow waters around the French West Coast. As predicted, your hulk just proved to be no longer seaworthy and foundered with the loss of all lives. You have my sympathies. If only it had followed it's sister ship into blue water it just might have survived it's journey home! A mysterious accident also seems to have occured to the West of Faverges; another ancient Spanish vessel suddenly sprang a leak but luckily I was able to despatch a Battleship in time to rescue the entire crew although, unfortunately, the Passenger Deck was flooded immediately and no survivors were found from there.

I would suggest that you just accept the fact that these antiquated old vessels are no longer fit for service, even as training ships, and place them on display somewhere where they can be admired for what they truly are - relics of a bygone age! The fate of your Law Students should also serve as a reminder of the need for adequate health care, bed rest after trauma and the ill-wisdom of sending little more than children into such hazardous places as French Testing Ranges.

Strangely it appears that this series of tragic, but easily avoidable, accidents has resulted in the dimunition of the diplomatic standing between our two nations. I have therefore immediately despatched a Peace Envoy to Reus to resolve this, I trust he is treated with the respect that his status as Commissar of the Lille Cooperative merits.

Indeed this has been a most strange set of circumstances...

It is with great sorrow therefore that we have to report that the Battleship sent into Spanish waters to save one of our SOL's itself got entangled in Spanish fishing nets and whilst attempting to free itself collided with an undisclosed number of French Merchant ships!

Unfortunately all vessels sunk with all hands aboard before Spanish coast guard services could get near...

In a seperate incident, a French Pikeman appears to have got lost and stumbled into Spain's own bombing range within the city limits of Leon! Our condolences to the Pikeman's family!

Spain is deeply aggreived about the loss of the Diplomat and Lawyers who were en route to Lille in an attempt to press home Spain's legal claim to the Granada river area! Spain has repeatedly asserted her claim to the river area since records began - Spain even allowed a small French colony and listening post to be established at the mouth of the river in view of our friendly relations with St. Jon... These relations have been strained since the coming of a communist government in France. Spain therefore reiterates that she does not appreciate the occupation of Spanish territory by currently ten military units and the building of a farm also on Spanish land.

Kindly withdraw your forces and dismantle the railroad and farming structures on Spanish land, Spain grows weary of having to repeat these requests over and over again - but above hopes that this spate of freak accidents is now finally at an end...

As for the Inca, given that there was no reply on this subject and that the offending units have now been removed Spain has called off further 'peacekeeping' actions.

Spain is a peaceful nation that only wants to be left alone. In the past minor encroachment has been tolerated, however it appears that far from being appeased those guilty of encroachment become eager for more. No more!

Strange, the state of war that now exists in the world began with my temporary stewardship of Greece.

The dominoes are all falling in place - now France has seen fit to expand their regional conflict to encompass Spain. I have heard of no peace between Inca and France that would cause a sudden shift of aggression either... what ever happened to the phrase 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'?

...unless there is something more sinister going on! The smell of shameful opportunism seems to be in the air.

Slightly Off-Topic...

Sorry about this, but I have a 40 hour monthly limit on my free internet provider at home, which was filled up last night. My son has been online a lot this month.

I am planning on going to a friend's house to check for turns, but I am also going to be gone most of tomorrow with the family, so any Greek turns that do come in will have to wait until Sunday. I will check Sunday afternoon - but I cannot be going over there a lot to keep checking for them, so if the turn is not in when I check, it will have to wait until Monday night.

I will also be able to download a turn from work on Monday, and should be able to play and send Monday night, as that will renew my internet account for the month of October.

The citizens of Reus and Alicante need no longer live in fear of oppression and, once they have recovered from the initial shock, those still living in Montello should feel equally content. Finally this phoney war between France and Inca has been exposed as the sham that it truly is!

Since the beginning Spain has been suspicious of the dubious pretext of war used by the French to attack the Inca, and the goals of little strategic value...

While all along the world's two vile pollution belching communist nations have been thick as thieves planning a huge surprise attack on Spain by using this tissue of lies as a devious and despicable cover up in order to mass their vast armies along Spain's borders for a massive strike! Not even the legendary attack by the Japanese on 'Pearl Harbour' can compete with the sheer underhand audacity - the sheer and outright violent and cowardly attack on six Spanish cities!!!

The French force outside Granada has also been neutralised!

Spain mourns for the cities of Cojones and Cabron - utterly destroyed by the merciless French butchers!

Spanish losses have been mininal due to the expected nature of these attacks and the fact that the Spanish army has been massively bolstered by the professionalism of the many extra Fascist units drafted in these last few years!

It appears that the Spanish military has begun assisting us in removing the Terrorist camps in the hills of pampalona, we regret any casualties that the Spanish may have suffered in the cross fire.

Also, we are greatly alarmed by the outbreak of nuclear war between France and Spain! It appears the French have shifted their goals from us to the Spanish! This is a terrible tragedy, and we hope that the two nations reach a peaceful settlement. We will remain neutral through this conflict and confine ourselves to the removal of the terrorist organizations that were responsible for the sinking of 4 of our Destroyers and the bombing of one of our Freight trains. The Incan republic does not wish to be dragged into a bloody nuclear conflict.


Incan officials were alarmed at the news that the Greeks have launched an unprovoked attack upon Incan divisions gaurding her borders. It appears that the Greeks even captured a key Incan city. We wish to know the justification behind these unprovoked attacks?

What was it? Why does the impostor of our great founder send his troops to attack us? We wish to make things clear

- the Greek nation and the Incanc Republic have always enjoyed a friendly relationship. Why do you attack us even though the noble Xenophon made it clear to you that, our relationship should not be soured? Why do you threaten the bond between our countries? Perhaps you hope to cease control of it??

- Was it that you are angered about the fact that the names of the Incan cities had changed? Even if your deluded mind DOES believe that you were the founder of our great nation, I will have you know, that it was the Dictator Quinns who changed those names before.. not I! If this is what the war is about, you could have simply requested me to change them and I would have seriously considered it!

- Are you greedy? Ah! But what do you have to gain from capturing a strategic, but otherwise valueless Incan city? What would you hope to gain from attacking a poor Incan nation, that is so weak that it must deploy its full military might just to eradicate a bunch of rag tag terrorists!

- You were bored and wanted a piece of the action? .. Why not join us in eradicating the terrorist camps holed up within fascist Spain instead of killing innocent Incan civilians? Thats right! Why not join us in eliminating this menace. It is true that our small military operations 'might' just help the French in their aggressive war, but ignore them! Look at the great service we will have done humanity!

If none of the above were the reasons you attacked, then I demand to know the real reason! And I demand that you leave Incan territory immediately! And I demand an apology Also send some of your fine Greek women this way if at all possible!

I am sorry not to have sent you all individual emails over this but, amongst most other things, XP has trashed my Address Book.

As part of my vain attempt to resurrect some form of order I would deeply appreciate it if you could all send me a Test email so that I can log your current addresses to save for the complete system reload I am going to have to do. I do hope you all can appreciate my desire not to call upon Birdman to Sub for me at the very start of a war and he is the only other CtP player that I have in my Hotmail Address Book.

I am fully aware that far more than 24hrs has elapsed and I know that I cannot backup all the Files I need to before I FDISK the the lot and reload all my old software in a matter of a few days. Sadly I have to work graveyard shifts at the moment so my time is limited anyway but next week it's back to days.

A cowardly spanish nukeattack has been repayed this morning.

The spanish target is nothing but ruins now. 80% of the polulation are dead. The spanish garrison destroyed.

Other sad news received Paris this morning. The greeks war against the incans.

Pls think twice. The defeat of a weak nation as the incans will not change your position in this game of power. Only a major part of Spain can do that. Eat or be eaten, learn that now - or learn that later. If you choose the latter, then remember these words.

Spanish actions against France were still strong with the taking of Dijon and strikes as far inland as Cannes, where production was halted by Spanish Lawyers and many trade routes pirated!

Spain will not stop until our soldiers stand proud over the corpse of the French military machine!!!
