Outstanding work!!! The terrain comes alive. The trees are wonderful-- the jungle actually looks like jungle; rather than indescript brown gunk.

Thanks man-- wonderful improvement.

These screens don't do it full justice, but they should show others what to expect:

Another question though: Those colored rings below the units; are they an in game option or are they someones graphic handywork (the game won't be out here for another five days, so I wouldn't know)?

Cheers!

The graphcis look wonderful!! I really like the jungle and the beaces. It looks so much more realistic than the other ones did, and I really now think that the graphics are 1000 times better than what they were in Civ2 or the call to power series!!

The 2 things I'm most impressed with are the jungles & the blue ocean/sea/coast. I will *definitely* be using those. The forest & pine trees I will probably be using (I may want pine trees not in the tundra so I may hold off there). Green grass & hills I will probably use. Although last time I had some of the old grass still existing even tho I was using your new grass... when the 2 mixed it looked odd. I have to see the mountains to decide for that. I'll hold off on the irrigation.

OUtstanding work. One thing though. I don't know if this is something that you did or what. Just something I noticied. If you build roads through the jungle, they don't seem to mesh right. Now this was from a pre-existing game. I added you graphics and noticed it. That isn't to say it wasn't there beforehand.

Also some roads and hills have problems. The road goes into the hills.

Don't get me wrong now. I am not complaining. I just want to make sure this mod is as great as it can be. I love it.

I think its great.. Especially jungles, forests and jungle rivers, oh, and mountains.

The only bit I dont like is the pine trees, they look too pixilated with all those beige dots scattered among them. Ill see if I can find the original abstracted pine trees and see if they mesh with the rest.

Great work.

As a pure profane to informatic and graphism, I just don't understand...

How come a group of fans, modders, are able to beat the master, Firaxis, on their own fields, on what they took moths to do? Of course, we are able to make some things that are dfferent and more adapted for some persons. But what is done here is simply loved by everyone, and not only changing one or two things that had little faults. It's simply changing it all, one by one, and everyone likes it more...

Tri, not EVERYONE .

Personally, I'm sticking with the original graphics. Some like one way, others another way.

And remember, Firaxis's graphics were inspired by the picture of the Towel of Babel and thus there had to be consistancy. Not everyone likes that.

I love typos

"Firaxis's graphics were inspired by the picture of the Towel of Babel... "

This has to be a subconscious Douglas Adams reference

"...on what they took moths to do..."
