If a country wishes to buy any military equipment were are they going to get it from? Answer is either Britain, France, USA or Russia.

So in that light it is not surprising they were French, or sold by the US. Whether they should have been sold is the debatable issue. But would you have complained if they were used against Uruguay instead?

Gibraltor I believe belonged to the Kingdom of Grenada during late 1400's (which was Muslim). So no nation I dont think can claim it by who used to live there. Before them.....the Romans were there. And before that Celts live there..then the Phoenicians/carthagiian n.africans at one time.....etc...etc...

Actually the French sold them 36 Dassault Mirage 2000's and a few hundred Exocets....But that was before the coup. No blame to either partys (America or France)
