	The Apolyton Island Tired of ads?

One day in the near future, all Apolytoners (well, the most active ones) are transported to a rather large undiscovered island with abundant natural resources. There is no chance of being 'rescued', there is no chance of returning home, and there is no chance of any other human contact (no phones, radios, television, etc.) It's just Apolyton and the Island.

What do you think would happen?

(Keep in mind, we're talking about people with radical ideological differences...from Provost Harrison to DinoDoc to Chegitz Guevara to Imran Siddiqui, etc.)

What systems would appear? Would we be democratic? Would we elect someone our leader? Would we break off into factions and fight each other for control? Would we be an ideal communist paradise?

And it wouldn't be pretty for the 5 or so females.

Hmmm....actually I'd nominate a temporary ruling council of DanQ, MarkG, Ming, MtG, and probably someone like Wraith.

The problem is that if we had elections, the people who lost would go off to the other side of the island.

And why would it have to be the admins? We know nothing about there RL leadership skills. And Ming's identity is strictly classified - how would we know which one he was?

That ruling council would last until the first difference of opinion between MtG and Wraith, probably on some point like the correct method of opening coconuts. The resulting debate would take so long to resolve that continental drift would bring the island onto the shore of a nearby continent, and everyone would just wander off.

While Wraith argues that if we wait until invisible hand of marketplace opens the coconut the fillings will taste better, MtG will just favor cutting the c'nut open with his big-ass Nepalese knife.

the guys, realizing that there are only a few females will spend all there time trying to impress them (except for the gays)

it would deginerate into barbarity

those (like myself) who have bad physical skills and those that have no outdoor knowledge will either die or be on the bottom wrung of the latter

the ideals would probably not last much longer than the end of the month

(probably MtG would be one of the dominant people)

It will be a theocracy run by the lord protector Civnation. I will be his right hand man and feared Executioner. Lincoln will be fronted as the mild character of the island rule and he will head political workcamps were atheists and especially evoulutionists, suffer agony until they realize their erronous ways. Lincoln has a thing about evolutionists and they are considered the most dangerous subversive profiteering fifth columnist saboteurs in the country according to his own words.

A few of the most serious criminals in the work camps are:

Provost Harrison, criminal record: His nick sounds like a character from a western tv-series, like Bonanza. Very bad crime. Evilutionist which is a more serious form than evolutionism. Godlessness.

Chegitz Gueavara, criminal record: American. Communist.

Imran Siddiqui, criminal record: Moderate islamist which is worse than a fundy.

Dino Doc: Average PC-American.

DanS: Moderate Washington-politician.

Comrade Tribune: Has not explained his nick, at least I haven't seen it. Defender of Slobo, Haider, and Hussein, and probably a lot of other dubious characters.

Lincoln will only be a 'front' cos the rule will be ironfist and trials summary. Judgment will be swift and will almost always be the death penalty by beheading.

Other ppl that make up the dictatorship are Rogan Josh, Cybershy, and Zealot. Zealot has a lowlevel position cos his theology is unsound. Rogan Josh has been found guilty of evolutionism and is pending trial. He might get life in lab inprisonment instead of the death penalty, due to his useful?science projects.

Adam Smith is finance minister and is secretly investigated for socialism.

Ming the cruel will head the prison Mingopulco on a small island nearby. One of two islands in the 'group' Apolyton. Ming will outwardly pretend to be a gandhi wannabe, but in reality his prisoners are being stretched to the 5th hole on the stretchbench most of the time. Sometimes when he gets mad he'll stretch ppl to the 6th hole - that's when the bowels rip. Fortunately no inhabitants on Apolyton know this. Ming let's no one run away and the waters are shark infested.

Ming does a lot of other terrible stuff as well, but this is classified at this time. I can reveal that his henchmen are MtG and DanQ. MLeonard's whereabouts are unknown - he's a g-man-half-life character on a secret mission. He reports to DanQ.

One last dish: Ming has a little boy he's fond of - Asher the canadian.

I'll just take a small peninsula off the Island and live happily fishing and writing. If anyone would like to pay me visits and discuss philosophy I'd be most pleased.

Basically I would just relax...

I'll be like Switzerland. Completely neutral to all the strife going on.
