They are great fun, very social and force your brain to work sometimes

Civ type games are quite difficult to play if you have no background with such games or at list some serious board games and I beleive that's the reason most people move to the easier and faster RTS like AoE. The boring stuff they claim is half the truth. The other half is that they give up too easy and don't learn how to play it

I do agree though... the game Axis & Allies certainly partly got me hooked into this genre. And talk about slow!

AoE is over in a couple of hours. Civ takes a couple of weeks to complete! It does take a while, yes, but it is soooooo hard to play. I'm really crap at Civ, but I enjoy it. The only losers in Civ are the ones who don't play Civ because it's too "boring" or hard".

thanks Keygen no i didn't know what AoE stood for.
FF axis and allies is one of my all time favorite board games, they took the best of monoploy and risk and combined them and came up with axis........
carried out to its conclusion it's not hard to see CTP as the offspring of my 3 favorite board games.
and once again that would be why i'm hooked on civ

My Uni happens to have a foreign exchange branch there... just thinking if it was possible for my family to move out there for a semester it'd be a really interesting experiance. Especially since I don't know Greek.

I would love to have a copy from you since the game is not available in the stores in Greece any more

The only problem is that I am still on dialup so not sure how many days it will take for me to download it

Volos? Central Greece, Thessaly. Near some of the oldest settlements in Europe! A relatively small city compared to some other cities in Greece and not too beautifull but there are some awesome places near by

Perhaps if you other nations would offer Classical Education, Philosophy, The Age of Reason, Gaia Theory, The Eden Project, Mind Control and Perspective, they might be able to remove their heads from their a**es and think about the future.

Thanks Redbull but I already use the ReGet. Same stuff only better engine in my opinion.

Besides the server must support resuming but in this case FlameFlash is the "server" and I am not sure that he supports resuming

I really doubt I'd support resuming... especially since I'd have to copy the disk image to my hard drive... then segment it into easy parts with WinRar or something... and then set up a folder for Keygen to download from on my computer whenever we were both online... lots of "ifs" though if/when I get some higher speed access I'll certainly happily set up something like that for anybody who wants it.

I am not sure what happened with the case after all but it's pretty old, first started by putting Internet cafes in the same category as the gambling industry and enforcing extra tax rates, then when gambling was declared illegal (exept the casinos if I am correct) they tried to forbid electronic games in Internet cafes. I think the organization representing the Internet cafes achived to withdraw that law but perhaps they didn't, who knows

The more I am worried about is not that but another stupid law that gives the right to artists and authors to get a share (around 2% and something) from electroning media sales, including photo-copy machines or computers where the profit percentage is quite small up to 15% the best. That law was in affect since 1993 but organizations representing the artists/authors started to claim the money in 1998 retrospectively threatening lot of small computer companies with close

Now is that a stupid way to run a country or not?
