I think to do this right with so many movies to choose from, that there should be catagories. Then you might be able to get it down closer to the 16 for a poll.

One catagory I would like to see would be
SUNDAY MORNING HANGOVER MOVIES. (no thinking required)
My nominations in this catagory would be

Blues Brothers
Caddy Shack (nobody better ever mention the second movie)
Animal House
Stripes (only the first hour)
16 Candles (not just a chick flick)
Ghostbusters
Airplane

RAH
Let's hear some more catagories. The more obscure the better.

I thought the same thing, but I also had real low expectations also.

My fav Arnold movie, "True Lies"

I'm surprised Kelly's Heroes hasn't shown up yet. Ok, add it to my Sunday morning list. ALONG WITH PRINCESS BRIDE and Fifth Element

OK, i'm closing up the nominating portion now (i've already made a huge table of all these movies..i think we have MORE than enough to get us started). i have a few questions though in light of some ambiguous responses :
quote:
Cruel Intentions was good - but SMG was too much of a damn tease...I was hoping for some serious T&A. Wild Things - now THAT'S greatness

david floyd: do you count those as a votes/nominations?

quote:
I just saw it on TV the other day. Pretty good. It's got Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in it.

Tingkai: is this a nomination?

quote:
movies with great scenes
saving private ryan - beach scene
Enemy at the gates - beginning, and most battle scenes. not the crappy love scenes
Final fantasy, not scenes as such but it is a very wellmade movie, ohwell, maybe it should be up there
Dune original, it's sandworms were fantastic

Usually Insane: are these official nominations or just comments?

Kamrat: Which Coen Brothers movies. I'm not familiar with sepcific titles off the top of my head(and i'm not looking them up)

quote:
Lola Rennt

Juggernaut: do you mean Run Lola Run?

RAH: I agree with you suggesting categories. We'll do a general movie overall, but i'd also like to add a few others...this will be almost like the POly Oscars..lol. anyway..here are some i'm thinking about (any other ideas for categories please pm me so as not to clog the thread):

best drama
comedy
action flick
"chick flick"
Kid's movie
sci'fi
really fookin weird movie!
RAH's Hung over Movie (in honor of his newly elected position )
Ming's Movie

i think that's enough to keep both you...and me very busy....but any more suggestions, just pm me
