That reminds me. How could I forget The Treasure of Sierra Madre (With the classic line: Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!")

snowfire: i have no clue how i missed memento..you are indeed right and it has been added to the official list and i will count moral hazard's vote of Memento toward's the semifinal count and not toward nominations due to my error. I'll begin working on the other categories tonight. Also, please don't bother with anymore write ins or late nominations as they will not be counted. The cut off was set at 11, but i waited untill 12:30 am to actually say "ok..no more" The reason being that i will never get everything tallied and now it's kinda pointless for add in's since people have already moved on to semifinal voting. I also limited the semifinals to top ten (despite the many movies, slowwhand ) because if i don't, it's going to take us a few months to whiddle everything down. you guys will loose interest before then! i have to keep you on your feet.
adg: sorry the movies are not to your liking...but that's why it's a vote. not everyone will have movies in there they like. it's just the way the ball bounces. BUT, you are allowed, i do believe, to throw all your leftover votes to the movies you DO support (as i noticed this was allowed in the faces of poly or whatever rah was elected for). I hope this is an adequate compromise
BW: thank you.
but do not despair!!!!
each one of your nominations will be entered in a sub category vote.
anyway, here are my top ten:
LOTR
The matrix
Shawshank redemption
Star Wars: the empire strikes back
monty python and the holy grail
Aliens
braveheart
caddyshack
ghostbusters
tootsie

reisimark: iirc, you were the only one to nominate the truman show before the cut off (and even after the cutt off).....i used movies with more than one nomination. If i hadn't, we'd be voting on at least 5 pages (how many they came too when listed on word) worth of movies.
