The film experts and whatever are out of tune with reality - no way in HELL was A Beautiful Mind better than LOTR, no way was Halle Berry better than Sissy Spacek, and absolutely no way Ian McKlellan should have lost for best supporting actor.

No, because they award a bunch of either artsy or PC stuff rather than cool, entertaining stuff.

Matt Drudge blew the lid off that one last week--or was it two weeks ago? In any case, the 'Beautiful Mind' folks had a beautiful fit, saying that Drudge had gone 'too far' and was trying to sabotage their Oscar chances. There was also talk of 'lawsuits for libel'--by whom, and for what, I have no clue. |
And that folks is why Hollywood films are hardly ever great - they air brush out anything they think won't be popular. Its a lowest common denominator form of entertainment.
