Any member of NAMBLA deserves to burn in hell, and every hour receive an extremely large pineapple shoved up their a$$. (ala "Little Nicky) then again some of those sick b$$tards might enjoy it.

Any sex with a minor ( at least under 15) can be construed as forced, because they can be said not to fully comprhend the act. That is why there are age of consent laws. Also, there is a fundamental difference between Marijuana groups, the NRA, and NAMBLA. NRA is a group dedicated to defending an already esyablished 2nd amendment right. Marijuana groups advocate the legalization of a drug that many people feel is on the same level as alcohol. People aren't forced to smoke weed against their wills, and it seems to be more of a personal decision. NAMBLA advocates pedophilia and statutory rape as a right of citizens. They act out their desires (look at the case of the Catholic priest, or type NAMBLA in Yahoo). Would you advocate the rights of a group that actively advocates raping Women, and had members who regularly did so? I think NAMBLA's speech is equivalent to yelling "fire" in a crowded room. Therefore, IMO, NAMBLA should not have the right to speak. Others can disagree. I think that it is up for the U.S. Surpreme court to decide. |
Well put. I don't think it is the intention of the NRA to arm 8 year olds, nor is it the intention of the NORML to have children smoking pot and watching Sesame Street.
The thing I find intrguing about NAMBLA is that there is no counter group representing man/girl love. How come? Why is the reaction to this kind of pedophilia some how more socially unaccepted (as it appears to be)?
Oh, and I thought I'd add this little tid bit for all you lefties out there -- Good ole' Uncle Allen Ginsberg was a dues paying member of NAMBLA. Not that he wasn't a gifted poet...

quote: It doesn't matter what I think most of them do. It only matters to a parent that because of this group, someone might do it. |
And I know parents who think that we shouldn't live under a fascist state. What's your point?
quote: Avocating cheating on their taxes, I would still say who cares. But because of the nature of the subject what might happen means a whole hell of a lot to some people. It doesn't seem to bother you. |
Because I don't advocate silencing them, their beliefs don't bother me? Interesting logic, there.
quote: No, but people in NAMBLA are pedophiles, and they do act out their goals. Do some research. |
The organization doesn't, regardless of what individual memeber do. Get some sense.
Some people in the GOP are probably pedophiles. Does that mean we should criminalize the GOP?
quote: Actually, they do. Thailand is a popular vacation spot among the groups members. |
I didn't assert that individual members aren't pedophiles, just that being in NAMBLA doesn't imply acting on one's pedophilia (that acting on pedophilia isn't the point of the organization).
