ELEPHANT SMUGGLERS CAUGHT!
With peace in the world, King Vlad History Guy does public service works for the common good, such as building dykes and bridges, and the like. He has also overseen the shut-down of that infamous Elephant Smuggling Ring. Yes, he set his Chief of Security, Pierre Snookum, to work on tracking down the members of this elusive band, and today, a raid by EEE MPs has captured most of the members of the Elephant Smuggling Ring. Mike Kookle, a reporter for Eastern European News, interviewed an MP in action. "This guy, over here, he's got these elephants everywhere in this room. Hot merchandise, you know. Look, an elephant in this guy's packing tube, this guy has one tucked into his pants, and this guy has one sticking out of his boot...these are desperate men..."

*NEWS FROM THE WIRE*
In Godunova, rumors have begun to surface that, in fact, His Majesty Tsar Boris is a usurper of the crown. It seems that years ago Boris's predecessor died, leaving a young son on the throne. The son was far too young to govern, and Boris was named as Regent. However, the boy mysteriously died in a church courtyard one day. The commission investigating the death (headed by Boris) ruled it an accidental suicide. Shortly thereafter, bereft of a ruler, the Madagascarian Council named Boris Sovereign and Tsar.
Now rumors are being uttered--in secretive, fearful tones of course--that Boris actually had the boy murdered to secure his own ascension to the throne.
The official line from the Office of the Tsar is to ignore the rumor as "beneath His Majesty." In today's press conference, when asked about the allegations, the Tsar grew noticeably pale, began to perspire, looked around nervously and mumbled incoherently under his breath. He then left the room, citing breathing problems.

The new leader of the Southern Federation, Mark the Firelad, steps majestically up to the podium.
"Peoples and nations of the Solar System, greetings. I am glad to announce that I, Mark Firelad, shall now in the wake of out great departed leader, shall lead the Southern Federation. My path, our path, is a path of Peace. We do not seek war with other nations - all we want is to live our lives.

The Southern State Department also released a statement of condemnation concerning the amassing of troops at the New Canadian border, and the annexation of Central America for "security reasons".
The Southern Foreign Minister has embarked on a voyage around the world, visiting potential allies in Africa, Europe and Asia.
Military sources report activity on all borders, and a large naval detachment travelling northeast on the Atlantic Ocean.

remember mark. you're leading a Presidential Democracy with a planned economy
and ranskaldan , be warned. Firelad is not one to be triffled with. He was supported by the now departed president David Dalgetti, beloved and venerated by all . any attack on him will be considered an attack on me.
Meanwhile, the Dalgettists have established their state on one of the planets of the system of Vega, the Alpha star of Lira, distanced 5 light years from the sun. The planet , sized aproximately like the earth , and with the climate of mars ,has a magnetic field. It has enough water to cover it to the level of 1000 meters if it was a perfect shpere. This planet shall be called Incubia , in the name of the mystical being. The Incubian Federation is now 2,000,000 million people strong, and all couples are strongly encouraged to have as many people as possible ( 5% annual growth )

The unilateral Southern annexation of Central America, the rightful territory of Richelieu, has caused anger, fury, and disgust around the world.
The nations of the Lakes Pact & Honolulu Pact have jointly condemned this act by the Southern Federation.
"Richelieu is a member state of the Honolulu Pact, and thus if you don't pull out of Central America immediately, you will face the combined wrath of all Lakes Pact and Honolulu Pact members."
The Lakes Pact has also condemned the invasion of the British Isles.
"In case you haven't noticed, the British Isles are surrounded on 4 sides by Lakes Pact nations. This is just a friendly reminder from your next-door neighbors."

meanewhile, advanced cloning techniques on Incubia , complete with the gene randomizer , have created tens of millions of human beings, all differing from each other. The economy barely stands on Incubia, all research is halted and the economy has gone self-sustainable , with each adult caring for tens of kids ,and with only a small number of people being scientists and artists. most of people are peasants and teachers now, with the next generation's prospects looking very bleak. Dalgetti , now treated with gene therapy , is still pretty young, But very tired. The people follow him , but merely due to earlier memories of greatness, and lack of choice.
