If Britain is so close to the US, than why do the states put tarrifs on their steel? Australia is excluded from the tarrifs, but Britain isn't.

Well, kinda. I'd be the first in line to be critical of the system in Britain, but IMHO it's not as bad as the US - if only by virtue of Britain being smaller so unable to be as awful

Seriously, though, the people in both places - and everywhere else - tend to be perfectly nice. It's just governments and companies I have bones to pick with.

the defining difference between US and Britain has been lost long ago.

Now they can easily be classified as the world's arseholes together.

There is still a distinct difference between Britain and the US, and if you think otherwise you should come and live here. Blair's not exactly with the majority viewpoint...

That said, I agree foreign policy leans too strongly towards the US, but if Blair tries to take the UK into a war against Iraq he's going to lose ****loads of support.
