Easilty chiquita. Microsoft's tactics are practically saintly compared to some of the stuff that goes on in third-world banana plantations... The essentially fruit-company-owned Paramilitary Death Squads in Colombia are a perfect example.

Neither, Royal Dutch Shell and NV Philips. Both are evil because they brutally require their employees to make a profit, and unfairly colonize third world countries to establish factories that inhumanely exploit native labor and unlawfully extract resources that are the common heritage of all mankind, even while causing excessive polution that accellerates our decline into global warming.

Sony produces movies, which are often obscene, needlessly violent and racist. Therfore Sony is much more evil.

Microsoft doesn't do anything other than understand capitalism and work it - and make a damn good product.

Sony is way more devious than Microsoft. Sony knows that you accumulate power slowly, without anybody noticing. You realize that they control an almost unacceptable chunk of the entertainment industry?

They control the formats on which certain media is recorded, the manufacture of the materials recorded on, the material recorded with. They are masters of vertical and horizontal monopoly.

And besides, it isn't Microsoft who's holding up Ghostbusters 3.

I am only aware of MD and "memory sticks."

But I am not aware of Sony owning any petrochemical or semiconductor companies.

Besides, those are at best niche markets.

How is Sony less evil?

Do I need to remind you that they're at the forefront of RIAA and MPAA, that they charge consumers for peripherals that should have been bundled with game consoles to begin with (memory cards, ethernet, hard drive), that they have huge price markups on basic software and hardware, that they forced company like Bleem out of business, how they strongarm retailers by neglecting shipment of PS1/PS2 software until they comply with Sony's demands (see the Bleem debacle).

MS? They assimilate talent. Like all companies do. Like Sony.

People are being blind if they think MS' evilness is even remotely comparable to Sony's, being a giant Japanese company with a far more spotty record.

I suggest people do research.

Name one thing MS does that's evil, and it's guaranteed Sony has done it too. Plus more (RIAA, MPAA ring a bell)

I'd think you'd actually agree, if you'd look into Sony's history.

The Japanese Government has almost no regulations on how Sony does business with non-Japanese businesses, and the results are quite apparent. They're worse at bullying than MS.

The RIAA and MPAA components alone make them more evil, as far as I'm concerned. Everything else is extra.

And please cite where MS overprices its products. I think you get an awful lot of software for the price of Windows, for example. If you think they're overpricing, then you've got a ****ed up set of values.

Evil != Monopoly, Evil == Evil.
