No, because I've had enough of political correctness. Who are these progressive Muslim leaders in progressive Muslim countries? I can think of Turkey which is considered progressive solely because progressive elements have fought hard against Islamic doctrine.

So Monk, why apply the image of those extreme Muslims that you're afraid of, to all of Islam??

There are extreme Christians who hate homosexuals. Yet, I have a Catholic mother and Catholic older siblings who continue to love me and accept me --- and they have made it clearly known that they will accept and associate with any future partner I have, as they have done with my last partner.

So, I don't apply the extreme homophobia to all of Christianity, nor to all of Islam.

I don't know what Islam's position is on homosexuality, but clearly with respect to women they are not "progressive." The recent incident involving the Saudi crown prince and his request and that female air traffic controllers not the present in control towers while this plane flew into U.S. airspace is an example of the fundamental incompatibility of Islam and Western liberal societies.

As long as they are content to live peacefully alongside Western nations, I have absolutely no problem with Islamic nations. However it appears that Islam has largely been hijacked by radical elements who are actively trying to destroy the West and who are spreading their fundamentalists doctrine into states neighboring present Islamic states.

I don't know of any way out of this incredible situation we find ourselves in today except by confronting the enemy and winning the war against terrorism.
