Ehyup. In order to prosecute the war, the Confederacy found it necessary to take on more and more centralized fedneral power. Perhaps. There is a difference in general between the US and Canada though, it's not just a stereotype. I've noticed it myself living in California and Calgary. And I lived in a really nice suburb in California.

You say it when you recognize someone. People who graduated from my High School a year or two ago sometimes come back to visit and talk about how quite hallways are at northen colleges because no one seems to acknowledge anyone ever.
