You've navigated the maze to its other end.

Now, after another short hallway, you enter a room with more pillars. This one, on the other hand, has a pedestal in the middle of the room, an area comparatively clear of pillars.

The pedestal has a padlock floating above it.

As you pick it up, the room begins to act up again. Doors slam shut between pillars. Everyone in the party is stuck in the area around the pedestal.

Curiously, you note that the keyhole in the padlock is identical to the keyhole in the door we opened earlier.

What do you do?

Yeah, restricted to walls.

As you lock it, doors slam shut again. The result is a room with a hallway made of doors leading out of it.

Also resulting is that there's a beholder in the hallway.

The only way out of this room is to kill that beholder.

Need battle commands.

(Note: A beholder's central eye continuously emanates an anti-magic ray with an angle of 90 degrees, unless it turns it off. Any spells crossing this zone are dispelled, including the beholder's own. Currently, it's in the 15-foot-wide hallway, 30 feet back, with the anti-magic ray off.)
