I'll set my sword to Dancing mode in order to protect us as I fly everybody across the pit. I also laugh uproarously at Che for not being able to jump across a measly five foot chasm. I suggest that he receive a -1 to his attack rolls for the next two rounds due to his unbearable shame.

I'm a thief with high strength (think swashbuckler kit in BG2), duel wielding two magical short swords, with magical shadow leather armor.

I quaff a potion of master theivery (or whatever) and I try to pick the lock.

If there are any doors hidden in this corridor, they're quite well-concealed. You can't see any hidden doors.

As you continue a search down the corridor, you reach where the bottomless pit room should be. Instead, the corridor just continues into what looks like a maze.

Care to continue?

Okay. At the first fork, we see four other passages and a pedestal in the middle of the room. On the pedestal are three small statues (perhaps 1' tall).

As you enter the room, you see the statues jump off the pedestal and head down three different corridors (1, 2, and 4).

Which corridor do you follow- 1, 2, 3, or 4?

I say we go to the third corridor. It's the only one that stands out. Of course, this could be a trap, but the setters of the trap surely don't think that people entering here would be that stupid? Right?

As you approach what appears to be the end of the corridor, you see another door, made of titanium.

The door has an inscription telling you not to open it. (Incidentally, it mentions you by name. )
