Horse buggered the photography. Everyone's got red-eye. If he'd drawn a couple of eyes on his bald pate they'd've had red-eye too.

Its either copper nails or I'll invite you down to give them what you consider a light pruning. The latter option would probably be the speedier death.

To the left out of shot is a mature olive tree - I love olives but I'm told they are a devil to cure.

You called I can't do it , must be something you put in the food.

I was wondering about the red eye

There was alot of bright light reflecting off Horses bald spot , would that cause red eye in the photos?

Do they all get equal water?
is the trough drained evenly all along or just at one end?
Is the trough positioned near a wall at one end?
Why not use a liquid plant food added to the water , that way you feed every time you water.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Hydey, I have a small potted houseplant with a problem. One by one the leaves yellow and die. They do not dry out, just turn yellow. I though I was overwatering, the Number One Houseplant Menace, so I cut way back on the water. Nothing changed, so I tried increasing the water. That didn't help either. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

That often happens to indoor plants that don't get enough light but if it is getting planty of light then the next thing to try would be repotting in a good quality potting mix .

Could also just be hungry so give it some plant food but I would repot first and then use a once a year plant food.

Sorry, MOBIUS, I wasn't even aware that you were still here! Bummer. I only just noticed that you've attached Sydney to your address. We're pretty farflung as you'd realise - Canberra, Melbourne, etc - so I don't know know when we'll be together again en masse, but I'll organise to get you over for a feed. I'll try PMing you. Fingers crossed it works - it's an incredibly dodgy operation. On my machine, anyway.

We know New Zealand's full of beggars. Presumably you were mugged for the stuff in the US.

Just so we can stay vaguely On Topic - do you have a gardening question for Hydey? Are the plastic flowers in your flower box outside the window melting? Anything like that?

I was thinking of the Sydney dinners.

It would be the natural order of things to have an OT regular waiting on some real civvers don't you think?

Actually, I was staggered by the number of homeless in this country! You know the US, they expect a tip just for saying "Have a nice day!"

Hmmm, I have to say that we don't have a single plant in this apartment, but what would do well on a sheltered East facing balcony?
