Rumours abound that Phonecians goverment is in turmoil. We hope they realize that communism is reported to be a harsh goverment for its people. We will be watching the situation closely and hopes that the transistion is a smooth one.
After messages flying back and forth the Egyptian and Canadian goverment have come to an agreement over a parcel of land on our borders. We notice that land is getting scarce in some parts of the world we hope this doesn't cause any conflicts.

El Cid sat at his desk, contempating the events of these past few years. Though he held the title of First Citizen of Greater Spain, the real power rested with the Prime Minister. The elections had been close as always, but more minor party candidates were elected in this round of voting. So many that no major party could put together a solid coalition without another major. A knock broke his concetration.
The page entered and handed an envelope to El Cid. I bore two seals, that of the Presidente of the Citizen's Assembly and personal seal of the new Prime Minister. The second seal was very familiar, the crossed axe and pick of the deLeon family. More precisely Roberto deLeon, Minister of Armed Forces.
"How can this be?" El Cid said.
The page nervously responded, "the Greens, First Citizen, Minister deLeon has given them control of all ministries except the Armed Forces."
El Cid dismissed the page. He then contemplated; the Greens, there is nothing more dangerous than a tree hugger in a postion of power. And now we have a whole cabinet of them running Greater Spain. At least Roberto had sense enough to not give them guns.

Communique from the Phonician HQ:
General Hasdrubal has pronounced himself First Citizen during this period of anachy, that rages the nation.
The body of our dear brother Hannibal has been found. It seems like he has shot himself during an attack of depression.
Peace be with his soul.
Pollution seems to be a major issue of the spanish since they demand us to reduce it.
The current political situations does, that we cannot stand up against a demand, therefore it was accepted. Anyway, the phonician people don't pollute, so this is nearly a "free" diplomatic step.
What the future situations will bring, that will be another matter.
Most people seems to more than accept, that the folish senate has been send home. Some - rather overjoyed comrades - has been sent to jail to cool off. We does not have that babarian habbit to shorten people by their neck, just because they use humor and might be a little drunk. I can live with that.
Also, I'm pleased to announce, that a new tech has been introduced to the people. This is supposed to substitute the old habbit that some - rude expression maybe - call "F*** and Pray". Now it should be called "Plug and Play". Virgins as well as young women are welcome to join these games with my armymen.
There is sufficient families to ensure, that the phonician nations will grow.
Besides the nation cannot afford to take care of too many children, who do not have a father to supervise them in thier military education.

Egypt officially condems the way Hasdrubal has taken power. However, since we also have made commitments, we have instructed the delegation that will attend the state funeral of Hannibal to also talk to the new leader Hasdrubal.
A group of artists already started working on a magnificent statue in the honour of the great leader Hannibal of the Phoenicians.
It is only very short since greens took over Spanish government, and already they have started to play their role as 'police of the world'.
A delegation arrived at Cairo, demanding we should reduce pollution.
Prime minister Maestro, accepted reluctantly.
The minister of defence stated his usual protest :
'Naye sire, the defence of our cities takes precedence !'
Egyptian captains of industry also stated their protests :
'We simply cannot trust these tree-huggers. We all know they use other weapons then guns to fight. What are we going to do when one of them releases one of their cursed nano-viruses on one of our cities, simply because he thinks we did not put enough effort into reducing pollution ?'
The problem is, they are both right.
Also, it will be very difficult to convince the Egyptian people of all the negative effects of pollution, as they have never experienced the sickening situations that have led to the green revolution in Spain.
As he looks into the mirror, Maestro notices a few strings of grey hair. So, the worries have finally got to him. Either that, or he is just growing old.

This news comes from the office of German leadership.
Listed as the weakest nation on a recent report, it is time for Germany to re-evaluate our current situation. The road networks are incomplete, outdated, and in need of serious repair. Many cities cry for more modern fisheries. The minister of defence, cries for more support daily. The needs are many and I will be calling my councel together for a week long series of meetings. The German people deserve better, and new elections will also be occuring in Germany soon. Current leadership is nervous and thus rushing to fix the inner problems.
Germany has remained in good standing with all nations of the world, and will continue their policy of peaceful actions and cooperation.
