The shores of the great water have been found to have a rich bed of crab. As I dined on the delicacy at the festival to mark establishment of a third provincial city, I considered my impending elevation to Oracle-King. Soon I must go off for a time to study the mystic forces which guide our lives. Persia will be without a leader. I trust the tribal leaders to keep their cities working on task in the expansion of our territory and the search for the legendary Greeks.

Today our explorer found some rather strange scripts lying in a small tomb outside of our capital. They were brought to our King, and our king took a moment to study them. He then spoke aloud.
"Send all our border gaurds out on a search mission. They will be searching for another civilization like ours. We are not the only ones that have risen to become nations and established empires."

Several in the kings court protested by reminding him of the cost of sending armies out to what would probably be great distances, and of how there had been no evidence that any other people had ever risen to become civilized like we were. Their biggest fear however seemed to be the legend among our people out in the fringes lived terrible monsters, goblins, and evil wizrds, and beyond them was the End of Earth. A deep Precipice. There was no room for another Nation.

However our king was adamant and said that he would find this civilization spoken of in the script, or he'd find the end of the Earth.. whichever came first.

Therefore a message has been dispatched to our forward most armies to begin a search and exploration mission.

The final group of settlers have found good land at the mouth of the river. There is a strange plant which the young men have taken to drying in the sun, then crumbling into a small bowl attached to a tube. They then set it alight and draw in the smoke produced. I cannot understand this new fashion, but it seems to be catching on throughout the Persian lands.

The captain of out mounted archers has reported encountering a band of highly disciplined swordsmen. Upon hearing this I hoped it may be the Greeks the oracles spoke of. But these were men without a land. They were asked to join with us and their captain readily accepted.
