Yeah Quinn sure, now that you mention it, I dont mind turning this into a rated game. All in favor say "Aye!", all against say "Nay!".. I doubt I'll get an objection from Stavros.

Our Great King, Czar Thor left Moscow for Kiev, and though his journey was hampered by the monsoon rains he reached Kiev in time for the Inaugaration of the great Labyrinth. A maze of hedges, and yet not a maze. A beautiful symmetrical structure that leaves whoever who looks at it, spellbound and in awe.

Needless to say, the boy who has envisioned the Labyrinth, was also present, only he was now a philosopher who resides in Moscow. His eyes mirrored the joy he felt at seeing his childhood imagination brought into real life by his benevolent King. His chest filled with pride as he said "I am Russian".

All of Russia is now in a state of elation, as news reached the farthest cities of the empire. Wandering Merchants in Moscow's coffee shops will no doubt go home to their lands with word of the great accomplishments of the Russian civilization. Russias great cobbled road system is now being used to carry enormous trade caravans loaded with the riches of Prussia. Russia has emerged from the dark ages and a new era has arrived. Armies step forward from the barracks to fight the Barbarian uprising in the North. Trade flourishes. A true wonder, the first true wonder has been accomplished. Our people are the best paid and the safest in the World. Russia has once again arisen from the dark...

Keygen and Bilhq, assuming you want this game rated also... What was the best defeat against the CTP Artificial Intelligence you EVER attained: Chieftain, Warlord, Prince, King, Emperor, or Deity?

Thanks Keygen. I'll put you down with an initial rating of 19.000, Emperor. (I can wait until the end of the weekend, Keygen, for once I mark you with an initial rating, there is no changing it other than by rated human multiplayer game play.)

Now we just need to get the mysterious BILHQ rated. Any help from the rest of you in contacting him would be good. I've tried writing personal e-mails to him with no response back. Maybe my e-mail was bad.

No thanks, Keygen. Unfortunately, we had to use a somewhat arbitrary method of determining a player's initial ratings (i.e. best A/I defeat). This is the fairest way I could think of. Though you may be a much better PBEM player than your Emperor status suggests, (which is pretty good really), you'll have to demonstrate it via PBEM rated game results from this point forward.

How about that good word in the AC-MULTIPLAYER forum under the thread LADDERS? Maybe you can help "educate" some of the sarcastic players over there about the benefits of a good rating system. I'm sure that they are not really as pompous as some of them sound. They seem to be warming to the idea but just need a little encouragement. I think they would like the system.
