i realize that you guys don't exactly want to create a paying membership, but what about opening up something like paypal donations (i.e., like how some webcomics are doing)?

i dunno the details, but is that a possibility in the future?

I think this has been suggested before, but Markos doesn't want our donations.

, donations would be great , .....

in some european countries a non profit organisation can give out a tax reduction , the donations have to like 25 euros or so , in return you get a tax break , ....

apolyton a non profit , well , they provide a public "community" service , so why not , .....

some sites in France work like it , ...

If I can only bring myself to disable my pop-up killer, but I just can't do it (mainly because it requires a restart).

I'll click a few ads every now and then to balance this out.

Apolyton only gets money from banner-ads if you actually buy something after clicking them. Iirc.

I have an issue

when I looked at my computer this morning, there were millions of popups, which I am sure are related to apolyton on the screen

I had to chut down all explorer screens to get them to go away (there were too many to get rid of by clicking)

that really sucks (I would prefer going back to when there was only one popup every once in a while and there were popups on apolyton)

1) for the forums you can switch to the special or ultra-special styles

actually i have an issue as well. i dont mind popups [because it takes me just a second every once in a while to get rid of them] but this has gotten RIDICULOUS. the least you could do is have different ads, but this damn 'ET' add comes up one second after you close it. its really really annoying.

was there a recent change in the ad settings? I've been using the Moo3 default style for two weeks or so and just today i've been getting a pop up everytime i click a link. what happened?

I managed to get rid of pop-up by going to default.

But now I'm getting them again. Any ideas?

Although I am glad my cookie problem is resolved. I'm never logged out. But if only I could get rid of these danged pop-ups.

I have a complaint about the Video Professor ad...

First off, I dislike it/s pop-under capabilities, but more importantly I have an issue with its "secure content" capabilities, becuase that automatically pops up every 2 or so pages I visit and automatically changes which window I have open!

Also- the ad pops up far too many times!

It pops up every 2nd page I visit!

Can this be decreased! Please...

But thanks for decreasing overall the number of popups- a while ago I was receiving about 4 different popup ads at once and quit visiting apolyton because of it.


Also- I'm at DEFAULT style setting- so... presumably I should only be getting banner ads?
