On a similar subject, is it possible to turn avatars into pictures links. That way you can use that as your alternative advertising space.

Whatever reason you may want to make it a link. To your homepage/profile maybe? Or maybe to replace a sig link with an avatar link?

Markos, I meant my title (Prince) to be an ad. Just a link to the store, saying something like "Apolyton Store." (I.e. my title is Apolyton Store and it is linked to the store.

However, this is fine.

It compells me to make posts that are long enough for the ad not to mess up the borders to my post

Long thread... so just quote it and throw it at me if I've missed something... but more often than not the top banner says "action canceled." Is this an error? I can't click on it as if it were a banner...

This time I posted a picture if it helps. (You can make the text color different )



Moving it below my avatar is better tho, messes up the borders a little less. (And still prevents me from making one-smiley posts! )

Anyways, it seems to me that the text is smaller, which is good too. It grabs attention already, and it's another convenience to Poly-ers.

	Put an end to popups!

The popup(s) that requires Flash is killing my work/school Internet Explorer browser (which does not have Flash enabled). The popup comes up, says "Do you want to install Flash?", and when I select "No" it locks up Internet Explorer (requiring a restart to get it working again). If I just leave the popup alone then IE still works, but this means that within about two minutes I have over a dozen popups cluttering up my screen (since I can't close them without crashing IE).

Can't you kill IE (and hence the popups) by the three finger salute? (Ctrl-Alt-Del)

Actually, you chould just change your style when at work/school to the banner one - thereby avoiding a majority of the popups.

Incidently, I don't have flash on my computer, and the popups die just fine.

Nah, the school computers are set up all screwy, presumably so that people can't mess them up (though I don't know why they'd want to, they crash plenty fine without anybody messing with them).

What's this about changing my style to a banner style? Which style(s) would do this?

I keep getting an error "Unknown status reply from server: 0!" that seems to be generated by atomant's avatar (see here). It shows up as a broken link. Yes, I'm still using N4.79.

He seems to be using the ctp2 empathic diplomat avatar

You can always get a pop-up blocker or Netscape 7 which has built in pop-up blocking capabilities (I've never seen the britney add in question).
