First I should post happenings of year 2320:
A group of farmers (founded lately forsaken in the desert) was escorted by
a troop of skirmiskers. Suddenly a group of red cannibals appeared, evidently with a good appetite. But our brave skirmishers defeated them, although many soldiers were injured severely.

The banner of King Harsu is now flying on the island of Iatana (the ancient Assyrian name for Cyprus). A settlement was build, immigrants ferried over with plenty supplies and materials to begin building a magnificent harbour. Soon the islanders will be able to gather much needed fish, and population will boom.
Assyria will welcome Hittite traders, and we send word to King Straybow II that timber from his lands are wanted in certain cities in our realm.
Harsu, in the 60th year of his reign, has picked his heir. By tradition, a grandson will take his seat after the Gods have taken our King among their midst. Didanu, prince of Assyria, has taken residence within the walls of the Inner Palace where he will receive his final teachings.

Concerning the game speed I suggest a following procedure:
After one 72 hour period ends, the next one starts to tick. It is on responsibility of next player if he wants to wait more or not. Anyway his 72-hour limit goes.
If you have problems the limit may be extented but only if you notify in advance.
Please after your turn notify next player by e-mail or PM immediately.

New 72 hours period starts, Sparrowhawk is asked for execution!
I dislike to play against AI in place of human opponents, or with freezed humans, but we must speed up...
On other side...

Is there a way I can fix it now? 67 shields lost and an unnecessary unit built (which I haven't actually done anything with). |
I suggest to do something with this. It is probably not solved in PBEMs regularly, but the Demographics window problem wasn't solved too in the past. BTW ... Straybow should report it immediately ... but I prefer tough and not handicapped opponents.
I think there are two ways
1) To load the game in SP mode, to go to scenario menu (it allows the cheat menu too), change things, save, rename .sav to .net. I tried it with my 2910 save and it works (with my civ).
But I noticed this way password(s) are erased (I tried to open Egypt - no password is asked for. I hope Kull will forgive me, I got absolutely no info about his civ).
To be sure production of other civs is not corrupted - Straybow, could you try the procedure with your 2910 save, then send it to me? I will examine my civ. Just a test, I don't intend to replay this turn.
2) I can hexedit the save, respectively I can write I program that will find Straybow's city and make changes. This should be perfectly safe but more laborious for me.

I don't know what happened to Straybow exactly, so I can't compare well, but we had some kind of precedent when we agreed we would replay the F11 messes... but it is true they were repaired within one year (or 10 years)
Anyway I think such actions shouldn't be subject of voting but should require a consensus.

Here is the save with the Contorl N for Kull (who has forwarded me his password now obviously )
Onward to Stephan and the Persians...makes me think maybe I should be pro-active and post another save with his turn also Control N.....but hopefully he shows up in the next 3 days

considering all this, I propose that Kull has time untill Stephans planned return to post his save.
I haven't seen much of Stephan lately, but I sure hope he will show up.
I'll try e-mailing him in any case.
What a marvelous thing it is one CAN play without the disk, but perhaps Stephan hinted at being in a place where he couldn't play because he hasn't got the disk to install the game on a puter.
I sincerely hope that all technical issues for the various players will be fixed, and that now summer holiday season is over other delays will be something of the past as well.
This game is more or less the last one running at Apolython, and I would surely hate to see this forum die.

I would be OK from this point of view: both turn counter and number of techs look unchanged here.
