If I recall correct to turn a human player to AI you type in the chat window the command: /attach followed by a space and the number that represents the play order of the player (e.g. /attach 2). This turns the second player to AI. To turn the AI back to human player I think you type: /dettach followed by space and the order number of the player.

I strongly recommend not to ever turn a human player to AI. I have played in two games where a human player was turned temporary to AI and when he switched back he had several problems like disappearing units, etc.

Heyyo:

I'm new to PBEM and would like to join a game. I have played CTP a fair amount vs. AI on lower difficulties, trying to get the hang of the differences between it and Civ 1 & 2. I've played CTP MP twice. Any games starting up out there?

"Fixed Game" is the game's title.
You can find the respected topic here.
You will replace St Jon as the leader of the Japanese.
Currently on the 55 turn. The game is rated so you can get
rated too if you like.
It would be more fair for PN to get the position as he isn't in any game I think but it's up to Blackice whether he wants to cede the place to PN.
Besides "Strife" I will start another PBEM game so you can both participate there too .

I have played CTP very many times alone and really would like to expand my horizons by playing vs. real live humans. I am generally familiar with play by mail idea (mainly from friends who play hex grid wargames that way) and so I understand the long term obligations of that type of play. Also I am interested in short term play as well.

If anyone would care to have an addtional player please let me know here or via email. Frankly the boards confuse me a bit as to how get through the threads and all, but I am able to do it fairly well.

Also, If someone could let me know how to initiate a live game I would like to try that too. I brought up the option in CTP but I have never seen another player on that server that my computer connects to through CTP. Maybe there is some other place to hook up with live players. I dont know.

Anyway, I am currently downloading the 1.2 patch and will install it now.
