Haven't used a comb in a while.

I don't agree with Boris about using gel -- Gel looks too...shiny for the most part.

It's best to use hands + pomade or hands + hairwax.

I put the wax in it these days. You need VERY little of it, rub it around in your hands, rub it in your hair, and your hair will stay in the position you shape it in. And it doesn't have the fake look of gel or the greasiness of pomade. Lasts all day, too. Actually for the most part it lasts until you wash it out the next day.

It's not what you'd think it is. It's got a thick consistency to it, and it's invisible once you rub it into your palms. The stuff I have smells great, and you need only like half of a dime's worth of it to last you all day.

It's like peanut butter consistency when it comes out of the tube, once you rub it in it's more like gel, but when it's in the hair it looks natural.

And I'm 18.

It's stuff like this: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/folica/kushairwax.html

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

If it's dirty, throw it away. The drugstore downstairs has combs in a 3-pack for C$3.99. I expect other drugstores are similar.

I mean, that's only slightly more expensive than a condom, and I don't see a thread here 'How do you clean your condoms'...

What a waste!

Nope just good old hands for me - no need for any gels, waxes etc...

It's a disposable item. Think of it as dental floss, or a toothbrush, or a battery. You use it for a while, rinse it (of course) and after a month or so, chuck it.

I don't use condoms, do you put a glove on when you want to feel the fine texture of something with your hand?

Yes, they could be construed as a waste when there are other methods of birth control around...

Ever hear of safer sex?

My point was... why spend a lot of effort cleaning something that costs a negligible amount to replace, fercryinoutloud.

Why would you need to clean a comb?

I barely use combs as my hair is usually a little too short for it and if my hair got long, I'd have an afro so no combing of that would be possible (i'd need to have a pick or a brush). Anyway, I dont use gel or mousse or none of that **** either so no combs are getting dirty here.

thanks

How can you cut your hair every 2 months and still not have to comb it? Does it grow REALLY slowly?

It starts to get ****gy by 2 months (2 inches or so?) but it's still not necessary to comb it, since it isn't really wild hair (very straight) and I wash my hair every day...

Ah, so it's more of a natural thing.

Without anything in my hair, and if it gets longer than an inch or so, it poofs. That's why I use wax mostly, it behaves like normal hair.

But I still get it cut monthly.

Ever heard of a girlfriend? You should try it sometime...

(Or boyfriend given the high prevalence of our gay brethren on this thread... )

Being that I am not a promiscuous person seeking many partners who would also, by definition, be promiscuous means that I don't have much call for them, except at the beginning of a relationship...

My point is that North American culture is highly wasteful, creating a throwaway culture where it's inhabitants don't realise just what kind of effect they're having on their environment - why use the energy, resources, packaging, landfill sites etc on a product that you should only need to buy once, not over and over and over again wasting energy, resources, packaging, landfill sites etc...

That's the whole point, you don't see the bigger picture - just your own very minor inconvenience...

Hmm. Someone who on one hand is arguing not to be wasteful and blasts "North American" culture for doing so also doesn't practice safe sex with a "girlfriend".

How about neither...

I do happen to practice safe sex as there are other forms of birth control around, I also pick partners that don't sleep around...

Of course nothing is ever 100% but that's life.

Think of all of the wasted calories on meaningless sex, though.

THINK OF THE CALORIES!

People have DIED to get the food to eat and you waste it all on screwing a girl when she's on the pill?

Think, Mobius, think! Stop being so wasteful.

Birth control isn't the problem really. I'd be more worried about STDs. And you're not even married to the girl, I'd hope this is at least a very long term relationship?
