Yes, but the point is... do you wash them out and reuse them? Because if you don't, you're guilty of the same 'throwaway lifestyle' as me, except you draw the line at a different point.

My point is that North American culture is highly wasteful, creating a throwaway culture where it's inhabitants don't realise just what kind of effect they're having on their environment - why use the energy, resources, packaging, landfill sites etc on a product that you should only need to buy once, not over and over and over again wasting energy, resources, packaging, landfill sites etc...
That's the whole point, you don't see the bigger picture - just your own very minor inconvenience... |

I guess the soap you use to wash the comb out magically disappears when it goes down your drain... or did you never consider what effect that has on the environment?
For that matter, if you're so concerned about the environment, why wash your hair at all? Do you eat meat? Use batteries? Drive a car? All of those things impact the environment a lot more than disposing of about 1/4 oz. of plastic comb monthly does.
Bottom line is... the time it takes to clean a $1.00 comb would be better spent on other things for a lot of us. And the resources used to clean it (hot water, soap, electricity) have an impact on the environment, too.
This has gotten quite silly Lovin' it.
