Britain welcomes Germany to the Oceanic alliance!

As a gesture of goodwill Britain will join Germany in it's campain to secure the low countries.

As this was technicaly an act of aggresion (although obviously in practice in was merely a pre-emptive strike in responce to France's grossly unjust ultimatum )
Brtain will not hold the other members of the alliance to join in this war, athough she does encorage them to do so (especialy if they want a share of the spoils!)

Anyway whatever you do the British ambassidor to Germany would like to know the recently restored Government's position on the brief joining of the oceanic alliance against the continentals, on the low countires, and france. Will this counter-revilution singnal the end of Anglo-German aggreement on these issues?

While Reichsmarshall von Chokenblatt wishes for friendly relations with Britain he wishes to maintain a healthy balance between the European alliances and therefore Germany will be allied to France and Russia as the Reichsmarshall had previously arranged.

OOC: I don't have the scenario on this comp and I can't remember what thread I posted it to so I WILL be replaying the turn but not until tommorow when I'll have the scen transferred via 3.5 floppy.

Reichsmarshall von Chokenblatt Returns to Power

A coup d'etat has been successfully executed by the former Kanzeller and new Reichsmarshall, Herr von Chokenblatt. The Reichsmarshall has promised that when the current period of chaos and anarchy has passed he will appoint a Congress and Senate and take the title of President, making a new super-state in middle Europe encompassing all of what were once the Deutsch and Oster Reichs and the Hungarian Empire. The Reichsmarshall announced "My new uberreich will promote peace and understanding in a Europe led by the Paris-Berlin-Moscow Axis."

Internal Problems Solved

All Socialists, Communists, Liberals, Democrats, Serb/Hungarian/Czech/Slovak nationalists and politically active clergy have been rounded up and shot. The Reichsmarshall is quoted as saying "Dissent and disorder in the reich will simply not be tolerated, necessary measures have been taken to restore order in the reich, never again will any of these ridiculous behaviours or ideas be allowed.". Several cities on the verge of rioting were quieted by these measures.

Kriegsmarine More Powerful than Royal Navy North of the Medditerranean!

Reichsmarshall von Chokenblatt was very pleased to announce that the Kriegsmarine now outnumbers the Royal Navy in the North Sea in battleships. According to intelligence gathered in 1899 (OOC: at the beginning of the scenario) and taking into account the current number of military units now being fielded by the British Empire Britain can have no more than 8 battleships in service at this time while the Kriegsmarine now has 9 battleships afloat and two more ready to sail in the next two months. This means that for the first time the German Navy is considerably superior to it's British counterpart. Of course this doesn't take into account the fleets of all three Axis nations north of the Med which would make the Royal Navy seem plainly pitiful in comparison.

Bulgaria Ready to be Occupied by Russian Troops

German troops have left Bulgaria and are on their way to German Serbia. Bulgarian citizens were sad to see the Germans leave but glad that they will soon be united with the protectors of the Orthodox faith.

Budget Balanced

Even in this time of anarchy the Reichsmarshall's brilliance shines through in his every action, showing that he had not sacrificed the economy of the Reich he has balanced the budget for the first time in decades while increasing spending and lowering taxes. In the coming months and years he is quoted as saying he will "Make Germany and by extention our Axis friends the leaders of the world in every sense.".

Mr. Valuk welcomes the return of common sense into German politics and expresses his relief that the Russian army won't have to conquer Berlin for the Germans to see that it is foolish to plot against mother Russia.
What about Lyons? Will it remain occupied by the Germans?
