Aro - and thank-you for the language lesson - I remember now - eins, zwei, drei, vier, funf (with the umlaut), sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn, elf, ....zwanzig, dreizig, etc.
I even remember Cynthia who sat in front of me in class. Mmmmm...

I'm sure, I would better remember Cynthias lovley backside than the German lessions... Btw, here is lesson N°2: "zwanzig" is correct, but "dreizig" is wrote with "sz" = ß - "dreißig". Strange, isn't it?

Peoples of the Empire of Arabia:
Greetings and good will from the humble and brave people of Spain, the jewel of the Iberians, the crown of the Visigoths, the one light in our own small area of the world. The golden ring in the nose of el toro, so to speak.
I wish to humbly put forward greetings and good tidings from the people of Spain, a people who hold your own incredibly cultured and generous people in the highest respect. With love, we are here to formally cement the feeling of good will between our people. However, this is only formality, as I know that our two people share so much in common that they are almost at one in their feelings, and the mutual recognition is more perhaps than between any other peoples.
I, as official ambassador from Spain, sent directly from El Escorial herself, wish to thank you kindly for allowing my presence as envoy to your beautiful country, to meet your fine people, and to embrace your culture almost as my own.
I have sampled now some of your fine delicacies, your wonderful...unleavened bread and dates...The chicken is done well also. I bring for the people's sampling some of Spain's cuisine: Fried Calamari with Onions. I hope your people enjoy this, our perennially favorite food.
I bring with me also some of the fine books of Spain, in order to show you the glorious ways of our people, and to witness the equally glorious ways of the Arabian peoples. I am sure that we shall all be soon enjoying a period of peace and prosperity together as the best of friends.
I leave you this message, and I present myself at the royal palace of His Holiness, Caliph Abu Bakr. I trust that I will be greeting with such enthusiasm as I greeted Mecca. In truth, I find myself in a place in which I feel almost as at home as I am in Madrid.
Your Humble and Obedient Servant
Hernan de History Guy Calamari
Squid Baron of Madrid
Ambassador to the Glorious Peoples of Arabia
