4000BC Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Our first turn was played without great foreplanning, our strategy being discussed and set mostly by the VP (me), Sharpe, and Kloreep, who happened to be the only ones online when the turn was to be played.

Other members of our team met us in the chatroom at various stages of the hectic Sunday night - apologies to those that waited patiently only to miss the actual event. None of us playing the turn had a good idea how long it would be okay to wait for others. Hopefully, the first moves were obvious enough, so I believe nobody feels like we messed our start up.

3950BC Increase Your PM Length

There is only one action to be taken in 3950BC. We will order our Worker to improve the cattle grassland tile next to Legopolis. Even though the initial vote ended up binding the Executives to start mining, a later simulation by Kloreep revealed that roading would probably be better. There was another vote on the subject. Ended up in a tie, decided by the President in favour of roading.

The Senate:
- Conan shall pop the hut (note: production orders in Legopolis shall be temporarily changed to allow popping a settler out of the hut)

The Enlightened:
- Research pottery
- Set the science slider to 100%

EDIT: knowing how much Tibi loves when other people edit his posts... I added the "result" of the poll about popping the hut.

EDIT: Thanks... I guess .

Unofficial (menial) orders:
1) After discovering Pottery, choose Mysticism as our next research goal (it's the less appealing of the two cheapest unknown techs).
2) Move Howard East, upon the hill, and make sure there is no barbarian village on the sea-cow tile.
3) If there are no barbarians, move the settler NE to the designated city site. If there are barbarians there, hold the settler.
4) Let Conan pop the hut.
5) Whatever happens, set our research goal to Writing. Should we get THAT lucky and get Writing, go for Iron Working. Set the research slider to 100%.
6) Move Angus NW.

Note: The only official order, from the Enlightened (Enlightened orders : research Writing) is included in the above list, only with with a slight modification, to make it possible to obtain writing from the hut.

Found a city where the settler currenly stays, naming it whatever you wish; set the production to just about anything, as we haven't decided on the first improvement/unit to be built there yet.

Unofficial (menial) orders
1) Move Howard West (heading for the isthmus)
2) Move Conan East, into the jungle
3) Move Gaul (the new Conscript one) South onto the peak
4) Move Angus (the one in Legopolis) SE-SE onto the Poor Twin Peak
5) Set the science slider to 100%.
